a partially blocked cat will cause the engine to constantly run slightly to a lot hotter. Causing many other failures. Head gasket and warped heads being the most common.

And I just went to lunch with the one in Brooklyn. Free.....

New cat for the Jeep isn't cheap. Tires arent either. Debating changing the wheel size to 15s so the tires are cheaper but you lose some sidewall strength. Cost as much to get 5 new wheels+5 new tires as it does to get 5 new tires for the 17s on there now. But we limit the tires available for 35s if we go down to 15 inch wheels (aka rims.)

Gotta do taxes. We just did emissions so the Cat can wait a year.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Yesterday they show some social apartments given to the poorest people last year and they devastated it after a few months. Like really devastated: broken windows, broken doors, stolen bathtubs, etc. And some of the residents were interviewed about it. One woman, when asked if the city had helped them in any form, said that no way they didn't get any help and that the city doesn't care about them at all.

And I was like: really??? You got an apartment and you still think the city didn't help you??? :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Ungrateful little buggers. People who don't have to work for what they're given tend to not appreciate what is there. Some people never do. Some people always do. I think people who appreciate what they have tend to be more polite and consienious of others as well. Or maybe they just worked in the service or retail industry once upon a time?

Debating changing the wheel size to Manys

Cost as much to get Many new wheels+Many new tires as it does to get Many new tires for the Manys

But we limit the tires available for Manys if we go down to Many inch wheels (aka rims.).

it's a cutting machine! cuts paper, cardstock, vinyl (great for decals and customizing items like mugs/water bottles), leather, fabric, even wood.

LOL That's not in NYC, but in one of the Polish cities... Tho I suppose it's more common than I thought...

I'm too rich to get a social housing. That's for the poorest and for a specific time (for a year or two).

I'm too rich to get a communal housing. You can rent one, and own it after a few years of living there (buying it with like 90% discount).

I won't be too rich if I had a kid :P

So... I have to save some money and take a loan to get my own apartment.

And yet those people say that they don't get any help??? :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:
