The jeep is so tall you don't need anything to lift it up. If anything the oil pan needs to be up higher. Hubs splashed it everywhere and said the oil was too warm to change. /rolleyes. Yeah changing cold oil is a GREAT idea. Sigh.

Anyhow, merrytooth, it's done but if you have the inclination to learn to change oil on your own go for it. :)

$90 for diagnostic service to find out where is the problem

$258 for the EGR Valve and labor

$23 for Oil Change.

Did you go to mazda dealership?

The diagnostic charge should have been waived when you agree to get the work done by them.

Call mazda to complain, they'll refund you 90.

Tooth, a bad egr valve will make an engine misfire, did the car run a little rough?

Otherwise, the could have just cleaned it for you by shooting gunk into it....

I could start the car. I don't know whether the car runs a little rough or not.

At the very least get a quote, look up prices for parts and how long it should take a shop to do labour. People often overpay for work.

Car dealer love singlapore lady long time......

This might be a rare occurrence where you might have gotten a better (more honest) deal at the new car dealer.

Tooth, remember, AutoZone will scan your car for free.

I know anyone could pull the code using the scanner but still need a mechanic to diagnose the car problem exactly.

The Mazda car dealership is not cheap either.

Maybe I should get a new car.
