Forget the fact that it's a krappy school for a second.....

This circus clown in city hall "praises" the school.

Just like he praised Karl Marx......

I think the silent majority will soon speak.

actually, we've been speaking.

and, are we rich yet?

Seriously wrong with the US society.

We can't point out mistakes, wrongdoings anymore.

If the kids suck so bad, people can still say "Good Job", "Well Done", "Oh you are doing great", so as not to hurt the kids feelings.

Like wrapping them up in this bubble world, everything is so good and dandy.

Bunch of B* and sugar coating.

And we are not that rich yet..

Well, that article doesn't state which exams and it also says they are January's. People who are taking the January regents at a school like that likely failed the June ones the previous year, no?

For the uninformed, the regents exam are incredibly easy, you could get near perfect scores on them in your sleep if you even paid attention in class.

Says "Regents"

Yes, but which ones? I judge them a little less for failing Chemistry/Physics than Algebra I or English, not that Physics isn't easy, but some people just aren't comfortable with it.

Hubs keeps saying he only has 2 weeks of vacation time in a year.

No dear, you earn 3 hours of vacation every week (6 hours per pay period.) That equals 156 hours per year. He works 10 hour days so 15.6 working days per year. He only works 4 days a week, so that's 3.9 weeks. So in March he would only have to work 2 days the entire month if he kept all of his vacation time. I think I finally got it through to him that it's WAY more than 2 weeks a year. Sure it's 2 weeks, if you worked every friggin day in a week.

We argued about cars... No I don't want a truck, even a tacoma. I get that they're useful, but they have worse gas mileage than a car, obviously. Yes they're useful, but what can I do in a base tacoma (abiet one that is 4wd because I would never buy a 2wd one in Colorado) that I cannot do with our Jeep? It's a 4 door Jeep so you can put a double bed in the back with the seats down (which fold flat.) Granted then it's in a bed not the vehicle... but... tarps? whatever... sigh.

Lucas has been calling our dogs for awhile now but I wasn't sure if he was mimicking the sound of their name or actually saying it. Well today it came out clear as a bell. He can say Ollie and Daisy! He's growing so fast!

i don't think i'll punch over #4, that member seems active, mostly. Not that I'm chasing him for post count, but just happy to overcome a bot-poster earlier. I hates bot posters running posting scripts.

My problem started when my main dvr box died. I took it in to change it out but the guy gave me a plain dvr box not the anyroom box so my other box can't get the recorded shows. I called them and found that out so I took it back just to find out they don't carry the any room box at the store.

So I had ti have them mail it to me, and on top of that the dorks charged me for shipping!

So i connect the new anyroom dvr and it doesn't send the signal again to my other box.

Call them again and again and again they set up a tech to come out sunday.

I called again after messing with the cords. Finally one guy figures out that the plain box is still showing up as the main box he fixes that and still not working.

So after some digging he discovers someone change our info or account settings or something like that. Tells me it's all on their end and he needs to transfers me to a lvl 2 so they can change things back to what they should be. Problem is when he transfers me he doesn't stay on the line to tell the next person exactly what he found. So I try to explain it and she goes through the same ####### the first 4 guys did and I don't know if she even looked at the coding/programming or what ever and says that the tech will be out sunday.

I had to get the kids to bed so I didn't fight to have her keep digging at that point I was on the phone for 2 hours. And still not able to access the DVR in the other room!!!!!!!

alas, you need a competent human to talk to another competent human.

I note most folk here at VJ have this same exact issue, albeit for immigration focused issues.

Yay Humans !
