I need to find out about the DHL tracking way too. I know some of our fellows here used it, but seems like they had to modify it from the way the other thread described it. Can anyone please explain to us? (We have a lot of pages on our thread to go back over and look!)

We FINALLY got a response from the Kabul embassy. That was the good news. The bad news? The said that they received the 'electronic file' from NVC, but are waiting for the physical file from NVC before scheduling our interview... Really? So why was my "In Transit" status all about? Why wouldn't it just switch to "Ready"???

I want to see if I can look up the DHL delivery before I call NVC and ask them about the shipment of my physical file. With the way mail is delivered on airplanes nowadays, the file should not have taken two months!

Please help me and SabrinaChuck! Thank you in advance!

I had the same problem as well Sabrina. For about almost 2 weeks after I got my case status I would get that same message as you. Finally after my case got to the embassy I was able to see a READY status.

Then I typed in EXP 29 APR 2015A since CEAC said ours left on April 29th, and something came up!!!!!

You don't need the case # to check DHL tracking, right?

Yes you are correct,

Now you have the date NVC told you they sent the package to the embassy? If so put in the first line like this

EXP 14 MAY 2015A

The 14 is the date they told you it was sent, sometimes you have to try the day before and after as well if you don't pull anything up.

And play around with the days if the first one doesn't work. Try the 13th and 15th just in case the pick-up and shipment dates are different.

Thank you TravisandLhen! This is soooooo empowering! Now I have the delivery trail AND proof of delivery!!!!! I can respond back to the embassy and ask them to check their records again!!!!!!!! This helps tremendously!!!!

SabrinaChuck, save that info anyways. It's probably yours because the other post (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/194465-how-to-track-your-case-from-nvc-to-embassy/) said, " i tried it this way and worked but i found 2 cases to cairo so which one is mine dosent matter as along as i can keep an eye on it for sure" So if there were another case, you would probably see that, or they would be shipped in the same box.
