Issam's physical went PERFECT - just lots of running around. First he went to the doctor, waited for about an hour, then went in and that took only 5 minutes, but he then had to go get blood drawn at a different location, return to the doctor and get the order for the x-ray which was also in another location. Hahaha, he had to return to pick up the blood analysis and return to the doctor. Lots of waiting at the doctor, he said it seems there are quite a few people going for their visa medicals and some of them took longer than others. He says he was in there literally 5 minutes while the doctor checked him over and gave him his vaccinations. He started at 9:30 his time and finishing up at 1:30 - so a bit of a long day. But he's cleared for the interview in 2 weeks! Getting closer!!!!!

My Darling scheduled his medical for 06/10/2015. We are waiting on criminal background. I told him to order it March but he didn't. So that's the real hold up. The medical has to happen within two weeks of interview.

I told my fiancé the same thing, to get the police certificate early. He also waited and called yesterday to find out that I was right. lol

It takes a month normally, but he can pay for express processing and get it sooner. I'm waiting until Friday to call NVC for the case number.

Congratulations thespoons :D

Looks like a lot of great progress going on in a majority of my fellow March filer's cases! That's awesome!

My fiance told me today that many students rallied together today in protest of the exam schedule. If the administration changes the exam schedules, there is a chance we can get a June interview!

Keep up the progress postings, everyone!

Thanks. Uhm is it a big red flag when my fiance has debts? But we're about to pay them off.

I sure hope not or else I'm screwed!

When I looked at the form, the only debts that were important were the ones that secured assets claimed on the form. I didn't include any assets since my income was enough. If someone did not quite meet the poverty line thresholds, but had assets to help support the future spouse, they can include this, but subtract the debts.

For example, suppose someone is earning disability pay, retirement pay or is employed part-time so that their income isn't enough. If they had a home, they could include this asset as a means to provide support. However, if that house was worth $100,000 and was paid off, then this would be awesome. If the same house had a mortgage of $150,000, then a co-sponsor would probably be necessary.

I think so anyways. If I'm wrong, please feel free to correct me anyone.

Just got packet 3 today!!!

Also you can call NVC from anywhere using Skype was suggested by Ambrolla. It doesn't cost much if you can get through. I think calling many times for a short duration ("sorry all lines taken, call back later") is what costs a bit more. It must have about 1 euro for a 50 mins call, but maybe 2 euros the day before trying to get through. It's not much really.
