I was wondering if sending the screen shot of how many messages we have sent would be good evidence of our ongoing relationship? I sent a screen shot of our very first messages to each other and included the dates, included screen shots of another website we both made comments on, and the screen shot that had the number of our messages. It was around 40K when I sent the petition, but is getting closer to 90K. We have handwritten letters we sent to each other and he will bring those originals with him.

Are they going to be looking at the quantity or quality? I think we have both, but I didn't want to send too many samples of our FB messages. I already need to consolidate the Skype logs. How many samples of the FB chats should be enough?

Well , i don't think so if it will be needed at all . They didn't ask me for any evidence, even our photos. They asked me for just 2 things I-134 form and employment letter. That's all they wanted .

You had such an easy interview, Kali! That's awesome! May we get an easy one too so I can walk around and say, "Yah mere pati hai!" Lol!

Hey guys,

We're trying to access the online electronic DS-160 form on the site with the link the Embassy gave us in the email. The link just brings us to the travel.state.gov website and we put in DS-160 in the search box and come up with the page where we can start the form, BUT it says that this is the FIRST step in the visa process and says that it will be followed by making an appointment etc. So, we are just a tad confused since we're at a different stage. Is this the right place we need to fill out the form? I don't want to make a mistake and have it kick over into some other pile, not knowing how the process works! Also, can we upload the photo at a later time to the form? I know we can save the form and return to it at a later time, I just don't want to not be able to access that page where we can upload the photo. Does that make sense? Thanks!!!

Yes it is this side. You can upload a picture as example without filling out the ds-160. Than u have to "start" the ds-160 you will have to create a secret question who will just u know the answer to. Your first 5 letters of your family name will be questioned and the secret answer. Make sure you fill it out correct & don't forget to hit does not apply if so. Save every single page you are using. For the case you have to stop during the time you fill it out. U can save it on your pc (but write the file name down so you definitely use the right one ?). When you want ro continue u have to upload the file and type your secret answer in the window below. Then it will open the application and you can continue to fill out.

You don't have to uplaod the picture at the beginning of ds-160 you will be asked to upload one at the end of the application. Hope it did help a bit.

I have a question, some people say they are using their tax scripts. I have my tax returns and w-2 and that's what the site says. I have also read from very old post that the tax return should be notarized but for the Ukraine site, it only says tax return and w-2 nothing about notary, Thank you.

Yes, thank you so much! :)

One more quick question. I just finished filling out the I-134 and signed it where it says signature of applicant, but there is a line right after the part that says, "I acknowledge that I have read "Sponsor and Alien Liability" on Page 2 of the instructions for this form...as amended." _______________________________

Do I sign on that line as well?

No, only need to sign below on the signature line. You can ignore that line. I typed my name there, but I think it was unnecessary to do so.

I was wondering if some were using a copy of their return; but I am going to use my transcripts. This way, the officer can see if there are any adjustments and the actual assessment on my account at that year. Someone could make up a copy of a return to only match the Form W-2's, so I won't send copies only. I do my return by hand and submit it electronically, so I don't have an electronic copy for my records - just paper copies. (I order the actual printed forms from the IRS and keep those copies - I don't PDF my returns.)

I don't think notarizing it would be much help. If the return doesn't represent what you actually filed, a notary public won't and isn't responsible for checking the return and what was actually filed - they only check the identity of the signor.

I say all that to say, I think many people use copies of their returns, but I am planning to use the transcripts as an extra level of assurance. If your packet three says copies of tax return(s), then you should be good with giving the PDF hardcopy tax software provides. If the packet three asks for copies of tax return(s), then providing the transcripts should be one level 'better', in my opinion.

I'm doing that too, sending the IRS transcripts, the TurboTax printout of the 1040 and W2s for each year. I hope they don't want the Ex's W2s because they will be impossible to get from him!!!
