Woops sorry. Its national statistics office. The birth certificate they ask in the philippines usem should be nso certified true copy.

So our interview will be on monday. And am a little bit anxious about it and scared that we might get denied. We already have wedding plans, printed out invitations, dress is almost done all the works. If the co asked the same question should i just tell them the exact date were planning to get married or just say "within 90 days of my arrival"? Last stretch for me guys and i dont want to ruin it with a wrong answer to that question.

And I think that its not one of the answers "as soon as I'll get to USA" - you are fine Because you've planned everything and stuff, so if there will be a chance of denial, you can come up to him and be like "WHy did you denied us?! We have wedding plans!" (I wanted to come to my bf's interview, but we are tight on money right now..)

what can i say to NVC phone person to be able to get my number? i called 2 times since monday.. both times i talked and they told me i gotta wait 35 days.. when i look at peoples info here it usually takes 14 days from NOA2 to embassy sent option..

any opinions?

It took mine 13 days and I started calling around the 1th day. Every time before the 13th day they kept saying I have to wait 35 days. You got your NOA2 on 5/5/15 so that's 10 days for you. I would say by Monday for sure they should have it. Edited May 15, 2015 by TravandLhen

Yes a letter will be sent to the petitioner having your Case Number on it explaining that Althea received the case and sent it to the embassy. They said it will usually take 1-2 weeks to get the hardcopy from them.

No, I believe you only need the hardcopy for when you do your AOS.

Yes because I am in England and she is in New York it isn't too hard to get over regularly which helps. We find if we have a set date that we will see each other again it makes the waiting a lot easier...

I am still waiting to hear from our embassy. I received an email from them two weeks ago responding to my email asking for the packet 3 electronically, but since then, nothing. The Kabul embassy site only has info for spousal visas (because only crazy people would get engaged with an Afghan! ), so I need to rely on that info, and it says that packet 3 will be sent.

Although we still don't know when his finals will be, we are thinking we might need to reschedule his medical exams. I should be more patient because of this road block, but it's hard. If we had heard something by now, waiting would be easier. I'm not in bummer mood since the petition is there, but we are still at a standstill nonetheless.

I wanted to ask everyone: How did you get your interview scheduled? I know each embassy's procedures are different, but I am trying to get an idea on whether I should be taking any action at this point or just chill out. Did you guys schedule the interview using the embassy's site under non-immigrant visa? What instructions did you get in your packet 3? Was your interview scheduled by the embassy or did you self-select/self-schedule?
