Some people are blaming USA government for the things that happened in Ukraine. Some news sources will tell you one thing, the other - another. And noone is blaming anyone specifically, maybe except people that have to fly a lot and because the oil price dropped so much and flight companies lost a lot of money because of that... Well, those people might be blaming someone :)

However, I rather not talk about politics over the forum (you know this phrase "Big brother is watching you" :) ) if you would like to talk about it and stuff - we can have a chat in skype or something :)

aah okay I thought I've to log in somewhere and see it there or smth, okay than does it work like I thought :)

Yes, you will log in, but you have to get your embassy number from NVC first. It will start with the first three letters of the city the embassy is located at and is different from the USCIS receipt number. Once you have your embassy number, you can check CEAC.GOV to see the status. If you look at my signature below, you will see it gives different status stages. First, you are "At NVC", then you are "In Transit" when it is sent to the embassy. When the embassy logs the petition as received, you are then in "Ready" status. Then you will follow what that embassy instructs you to do. That is the stage where you wait for Packet 3 - the list they need the foreign fiance to prepare and bring.

I know I shouldn't chime in, but I'm a chump, so I will. I'm politically neutral. I can't ignore the bothered feeling I get when someone is blaming America for everything. Sure, our government may make poor decisions and our country isn't Paradise, but c'mon! America is to blame for EVERYTHING? Really? Really? (Ambrolla, I know you aren't saying that it is. I just quoted your conversation, not so much your comment.)

Particularly bothersome is when I hear someone talk about how America is responsible for the continued fighting in my fiance's country Afghanistan. Sure, it's America's fault and not opium. I tell you what, I will believe that the 'insurgent' fighting is due to foreign occupation and not to protecting the lucrative poppy fields when I see pigs fly!

Drug use hurts millions of people all over the world - physically and economically - and it's as much of a political power as any recognized government!! It's sickening.

I understand you totally. And its ok that you went in :) I don't care, I am also trying to be politically neutral considering that I've lived in USA for 11 years right now. Also, I would love to discuss politics and my views on them but it is not wise to discuss it on a website while USA government might be monitoring it or something :) Just saying.

But I also want to say that it is sad to watch many people in Ukraine hating Russia right now and they literally want to kill Russians, and those people blaming Russia for everything. Considering that Ukraine and Russia had always ties with each other, Russians and Ukrainians even share blood with each other, relatives. But when in the middle of the night those relatives start calling you and saying "We do not want to be related because you are from Russia, we hate you", its one of the worst and saddest things in my opinion.

That breaks my heart...

Who put the boundaries on the maps? Only people, just trying to find a new way to divide the human family. Ridiculous.

Folks, let's try and stay on topic. Political conversations generally never end well. Additionally, these post make it difficult for others looking for help to find what they are looking for.

True, but it was sweet to see a Russian based petition and Ukraine based petition reaching out to each other like that.

Thanks for the help and information bout the following process really kind of you :) appreciate it a lot!?

I wanted to ask, what is everyone planning to do for the vaccines? Are y'all going to get the vaccines at the foreign medical center or when the fiance arrives?

I was initially thinking of getting all his vaccines done in Kabul, because one of the vaccines is required to register for classes, but since he may not arrive in time to start the fall semester, we might as well wait until we get him on my medical insurance. One thing I thought of is getting all the vaccines in the foreign country may look positive and may suggest dedication to our petition. Stateside, I think we still need to go to a particular doctor (aren't they called something like civil surgeons?) but hopefully they would accept health insurance. I just wanted to see what my other VJer's are planning and if anyone has gotten that far. You guys may be able to give reasons for vaccines now or to wait that I didn't think of.
