i had my interview just couple of days ago and my visa is approved :) , i would like to Answer 4 of the above question which is accurate according to my best knowledge :)

I can Answer Question No 2 , 6 , 7 and 8 only .

Ans to Q 2: I- 864 is for spouse visa and I-134 is for Fiancée/ Fiancé visa .

Ans to Q 6: It is the date when you dated the I-129 petition and sent it off + don't forget to write your fiancé/ fiancée name (beneficiary name)

Ans to Q 7: "Do not intent" because as you will have to support your fiancée / fiancé as a whole.

Ans to Q 8: Only signature and Date.

Hope this help.[/quot]

Thanks for your input on question 6! I better write this in! I'm glad you posted this before I sent off my form!

Question 6 the date that they received your I129f it should say on your NOA1

I think there's a sample form of i-134 here http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf

It says " n/a k1 visa process for permanent residence"

" Intent " is for specific contribution and "do not intent" is to support beneficiary as a whole from A - Z

You check ceac.state.gov and select Immigrant Visa. It's strange how it's a non-immigrant visa, but it's quasi-immigrant to DoS. I thought we could pay the visa fees online, but we can't.

when not online ..how then? and where? u talking about ds160 right ?

No, on the site, (https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/) under "Fee Payment", I used the invoice number that NVC gave me when I called. I figured why would they generate an invoice number if I couldn't use it, right? WRONG! Apparently, we can only pay our fees in USD cash at the embassy day of interview. Oh well. I believe each embassy has it's own procedures for payment acceptance. For example, we applied for US visitor visa last year. Before his interview in Islamabad, he had to deposit the fee with a receipt number into a specific bank. In Kabul, he will just give the cash.

We filled out a DS-160, but not related to our fee payment. I later emailed them giving our application ID, USCIS receipt number and embassy case # (KBL#). I was asking them if they could email us the packet three. I figured they would, but I didn't want to assume and just in case it happened to be sent right after the family moved, I figured I'd rather annoy them than miss a step.

I started another thread reference experiences from NVC stage to Kiev, and two people mentioned there are fees and documents to gather for NVC before it will be sent to Kiev. Is this correct? I thought it just was processed at NVC and then sent to the appropriate embassy, then you paid the DS-160 fee, scheduled the medical and interview, get the police certificate, and bring the appropriate documents to the interview.

Am I right or I need to be getting something while it's at NVC?

I got a great deal in March on my ticket to Dubai. Only paid $1,960.00 for a direct flight on Emirates out of DC. That included 7 days in a 4 star hotel. I looked again this month and the price has tripled. I guess they think this is their busy time of the year.

March is considered off-season. Even though weather between December and March is PERFECT in Dubai, according to airlines Feb/March is more of an off-season and I've traveled quite a bit in those months and have gotten some great deals. Last February I went to UAE and only paid about $1100, but that's because I am a bit strict on booking with AA since I'm a Platinum Frequent Flyer.

Wow, tripled? Ouch. Good thing you guys got it when you did!! Prices for September are reasonable right now, so we will see. His flight is going to be the same price regardless. It's the Dubai to Dallas flight that is the most expensive. I would like to stick to the $1,000 to $1,200 range, but your package sounds like a good deal.

I'm also trying to finish my last two CPA exams by July, and if I need to retake either of them, I need to do those by this November before I lose credit on the first exam I passed. It's like we have all these things flying around our heads - which one will prevent us from moving forward and which one will be easy? Oy vey!

You should still be able to get a good price. Try booking a flight to Abu Dhabi and taking a drive to Dubai when you get here. It's only about 2 hours away. Sometimes it's cheaper going that route. But good luck. I just booked my flight to Malaysia for August and only paid $1100. I had to snag it before it goes up. Also, to answer you question from a few days back, yes, he's out of Yemen. Very loooooong journey out on a very unstable ship that took 15 hours to Djibouti, but thank God, he's out. He's currently in Sri Lanka and he's going to Malaysia in a few days. Embassy emailed me back a few days ago and told me they have updated his address.

I believe he's going through some PTSD because thunder scared the bajeezeez out of him and he thought Sri Lanka was being attacked, and there was some drilling in the apartment above his and he thought it was gunshots. Poor guy. But he's so brave; he actually said he'd do it all over again, and he'd go back to Yemen one day.
