Congrats to the folks that received their NOA2 this week. :)

We received our hard copy I-797 today WOOHOO!!!!!! Now to wait for the Manila Case #. :D

I have my divorce decree, 2014 taxes/W2's and Affidavit of Support completed. Pulling together Skype, Google Talk/Hangouts, Facebook and Viber chats and logs together. Will print out my latest pay stubs (I will provide 2 months worth) before I fly to Manila on May 15 for vacation and send more immediately prior to the interview. Also, I received my letter of employment verification from my employer. My soon-to-be step-daughters passport is in the works and will appear at the DFA on the 4th, Daisy has had a passport for almost a year now. I will also take along updated intent to marry letters on the trip as well. Daisy knows to get her NBI clearance and CENOMAR within 30 days of her interview. We will complete the DS-160 once the MNL case # is received. Xoom has been tested so I can get Daisy money for medical and embassy appointments if I'm not there when we do it. We'll take more pictures in May when I'm there for ourselves and the embassy. I won't be attending the interview due to work timing restrictions.

I think that's everything. ;) Anyone see if I'm missing anything?

Looks good.

Just a quick question though....

Where did you see that NBI clearance and CENOMAR must be within 30 days of her interview? Melanie already got hers back in January and we submitted hers with the I-129F application, stating they are copies and she would bring originals to the interview. My understanding, if I remember correctly, was that they are good for longer than 30 days prior to the interview.

I don't think it needs to be that new. I think it just needs to be recent and valid. I am having Daisy get hers so close to the interview because I want there to be zero questions with the CO. :) I didn't front load our petition, I only sent the minimum required with the I129f.

Yeah, I think there is a check box near the employer/work name that you can click that says "does not apply". I know there is a section "Present Work Information" where we put 'student' as present occupation since my fiance is currently in school and not working. We copied his university's information under the educational institutions and filled out the previous jobs he held. If you haven't had any jobs, I believe there is a check box for "does not apply" there also; but we put his current position as a student.

Does that help?

Good day everyone! Today we got our rfe letter! They're asking for more evidence on how we met and established our relationship as I suspected. I just finished discussing it with my fiance, I learned that beside forgetting to put caption and making a full statement on how we met, ( reasons that made me suspect that we will get a rfe ) I learned also today that he didn't included his boarding pass, entry exit on passport which are primary evidence and those make me a lil bit crazy lol. But we talked that this time we will do it right, we will try to complete it this week and send it. Any suggestions will be great, we might miss something. Thank u :)

One more thing, in providing a full statement of how we meet are we just going to write/ type it on 1 paper and also include details when we finally met together. Please share what stuff u sent as evidence of u meeting and relationship. Hahaha I know I sounded like a worried freak but we just want to do it right. Rfe sucks!!! its better to have over documentation than underdocumentation as someone advices here. So please share your thoughts. Thank u :) And goodluck to everyone

My fiance is from Mexico, which I have been told is a moderately high-fraud country, and we're a same-sex couple, so we frontloaded and provided as much primary evidence as we could. We included a one-page written supplement of how we met, explaining we met on an online dating site that was free and stayed in touch through Facebook until our relationship began a few years later, and then we briefly outlined my three trips to visit him in Mexico. I'm not sure if it was necessary or not, but we both signed this statement. Then I included copies of my birth certificate, all pages of my passport (adding captions to the pages where my passport was stamped in Mexico so it's easy to locate), and copies of all my boarding passes. For frontloading, we included copies of messages between us from each month and pictures from each trip (captioned with date, location, and who was in the picture). We also had all the required forms, including intent to marry statements. I feel strongly we won't get an RFE for any of that (the passport photos he had taken in Mexico were a little smaller than the ones I had taken in the US, so I'm concerned that might end up being problematic), but since we're currently stuck in the black hole that is TSC, I can't know for certain.

09/06/2013: Along Came a Relationship

04/16/2014: When Darren Met Harel (in person for the first time)

08/14/2014: The Proposal (but in Mexico, not Alaska)

02/27/2015: Flight of the Application

03/03/2015: Reception (Christopher NOA1an's latest masterpiece)

09/25/2015: 205 Days Later (NOA2)

I always found this interesting. I have a customer that works for DHS and he told me some of the countries that have high fraud rates and although he did not have specific numbers, the usual suspects were mentioned.

Out of curiosity, I Googled and found this link with a spreadsheet. Surprisingly, Mexico has one of the highest K1 issuance rates in the world.

As a mathematician, I am sure this spreadsheet with pique your interests and keep you busy for awhile. ;)
