Hey, I saw someone on the October 2015 AOS filer thread said their petition was rejected because they didn't separate the AOS and biometric fee from each other. I wasn't aware of this requirement.

Missouri, could you please let us know if yours gets accepted? I'm supposing this was in the guides or no?

We're still waiting for the receipt notice. They're supposed to get it two days ago. We used money orders. Two money orders because it's not allowed to pay more than $1,000 in one money order. So what we did we put $1000 in one money order and $70 in the other one. I guess it will be fine i searched here on vj that others had done it before with no prob.

How long is the VSC taking to receive and process?

I don't think VSC is processing fiance petitions anymore. I think they had some years back, but because of a backlog, they reassigned all the cases to TSC for eastern states and CSC for western states. It must have been at least two years since that change happened.

once the TSC approves with NOA2, doesn't it go to Visa Service Center (VSC) for further processing? How long is that process taken now?

VSC = Vermont Service Center

NVC = National Visa Center

NVC is the next stop in the process on the journey. As has been discussed here long ago (mostly by CSC filers and likely buried waaaay earlier in this thread), the process is to wait about 10-14 days then call them and get your case number. Then you can move from there and begin setting up your interview once you get the case number.

Oh boy! I had to dig for this thread.

Congrats to everyone! So exciting to see that only at the start of this year we were all starting this journey.

My fiance will be moving here in three weeks and we're going to apply for AOS as soon as possible. Currently I live in Kansas City, Missouri, but will be moving to Kansas, it's like 15 minutes away, really. When I file for AOS, which field office will they transfer it to? Kansas City or something in Kansas? Even though I live like 20 minutes from the Kansas City one. Anyone have any idea?

Edit: I found my answer on the USCIS website. If only I read that first. :no:
