Our weesa is finally iiiiisssssssssssuuuuuuueeeeddddd!!!!!!!! Issued!

After so many false alarms getting our hopes up (getting the call to drop off his passport, getting into Ready status), after the terrible news that my father in law passed away on Sept 30th and the good news of me starting my part-time job of accounting tutor (which I hope will lead to a college professor role in the future), our visa has been issued to calm our hearts.

We can now enjoy planning for our future and get married next month! Praise Jehovah God!

Congrats!

Yes, they should accept the payment. I know if you send the IRS a check with your SSN somewhere on the check or with one a paper in the envelop (like a remittance advice - the part of the paper you cut off and send with the check) and you make the check out to your sister, the electric company, the pope, or left blank, the IRS will deposit and cash it. They stamp right over the name, credit it to the SSN that they find anywhere, and move on. Technically, if someone is working here self-employed and do not have an ITIN or SSN, they can send in estimated tax payments and claim the payments without the identifying number.

It should work the same way with the USCIS. I'm sure there are hundreds of petitions that don't have the applicant's name on them. Such as someone buying a money order at a Circle K and sending it in. You should be good!

Thanks Amhara, I was just getting a little worried because I didn't have any checks at the time so I gave the money to my Uncle who has the same last name as I do and they just wrote the check off their checking account. Per the tracking they did recieve it on Saturday 10/10/2015 just haven't received any notification yet and the check hasn't been cashed

Lol! Travis and Lhen, I know you two are gun jumpers! Remember when you first submitted the I-129F packet? I remember mine and I was waiting and waiting in anxiety! I was wondering when I was going to get that notification and trying to be patient. I used a money order and I checked twice on if the money order cleared. I remember the last time I had called and it was still not cleared, and my heart just sank. I don't know why, but I was just dang discouraged. But later that night I got the text that it had been received!

Remember when the petition was transferred to NVC? Gosh, that seemed like a long time too. Then getting the NVC case number and looking it up on ceac like an animal waiting for it to show a status. If I recall correctly, your case took longer to show and your case was already in Manila by the time a proper screen showed.

You should hear something by next week, I think anyways. As long as the amount is correct, it should be good. I have heard of them returning cases for the incorrect amount of fees. When I sent my money order for the I-129F, I made it out to "US Citizenship and Immigration Service", but it's actually supposed to be "US Department of Homeland Security". My name was printed on the money order, but it was from the bank. I had the same stark fear after I saw I made the name wrong, but you know, everything worked out well...

You should be fine. Based on what I have seen it takes about 7 to 9 days to get NOA1 for this process. I joined the October 2015 AOS filers group to be able to watch other folks status.

Here is the link...http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/569418-october-2015-aos-filers/page-4#entry7859086

Hope this helps.

Ok thanks! So after two weeks we should call NVC to get case #. What is the number please?

You will use the NVC immigrant line at (603) 334-0700. Spoons suggested calling on a Thursday or Friday, which worked for us! Keep calling because you might get a busy line. Try to call about 7 am EST

I found that we are supposed to submit Form 1405-0113 'Vaccination Document Worksheet' when we do AOS (or have a civil surgeon transfer the information on Form I-693). Well, are we supposed to submit the worksheet or we get to keep that for our records and USCIS uses a foreign file?
