the way they are putting the sentences together is so freakin confusing.

haha i totally agree! Its academic language. I want it bend in neon light please! But i think we do the same in danish so says my american fiance at least when hes learning to speak danish!

I found the link.

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/types/family/fiance-k-1.html

Click on "Required Documentation". At the bottom of this section (in the "Note") it says:

"Documents in foreign languages, other than the language of the country in which the application takes place, should be translated."

cool :-) Typical i have to do it then zzzz. Just cause they closed the embassy for these visas. Thanks for the link! :-)

Our NOA1 was received on 3/19, and we just got our approval tonight 4/8 -- so only 20 days! This is through California Service Center, of course.

I don't know why ours was so fast -- we did have an excellent application package, put together by a lawyer, with tons and tons of super clear documentation. But I had the impression that that really did not matter as far as timing -- only really for avoiding RFE's.

I hate to say it, but we got NOA1 on the 10th and other people were getting their NOA2 before us that had NOA1 after mine. We ended up with RFE a couple days ago and waiting for the letter why. :(

I hope that's not your issue and its just a lazy adjucator at CSC.

Hi guys, please help me with this I'm kinda confused in poverty guidelines. Is it before taxes or after taxes computation? My fiance earned like $1900.00 on his job before taxes but after taxes its like $1400 to 1500.

They use Adjusted Gross Income from your last tax return

They require English translation for any language other than English and the language of the country of the embassy/consulate where you have your interview.

I will have my interview in France, so police certificates in French and English are acceptable, but not German.

For Sabrina and Chuck, German is fine because the interview will be in Germany. However, in their case, a French police certificate would have to be translated into English.

To be safe, I would get anything not in English translated to English

@Sabrina&Chuck -- maybe they are trying to speed things up in order to accommodate all of the new transfers coming in from the Texas center? I.e. see this thread:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/543810-what-happened-to-the-balance-of-workload-for-tsc-between-service-centers-they-announced-march-27-2015/

When I saw that, I was afraid it would delay our application, but perhaps -- at least for the people who got in ahead of that -- it actually sped things up?

@ant330ci -- a lot of people -- maybe everybody -- has been getting that message. See this thread...

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/542136-uscis-case-status/

I never saw anything other than that message on our case, until last night when I got a text saying status had changed. Then when I checked, it said approved.

You can call them. Uscis website said before you get approved 5 mo. Is there timeline that's why I'm not worried if takes that long if I get approved sooner that's just a bonus for us. The only things that bother me once they cashed the check they should work on it instead waiting mo. After mo. Oh well I guessthats the process work for the uscis. I'm still hopeful to get approved. ?

Hey everyone!

I'm confused about the USCIS website. When I go to click on my case number it just goes to a screen that says "my" in script and nothing else except boxes down below under "Related Tools." Is this normal? Is it supposed to say anything? I'm so paranoid by all the stories that I'm just worried something is wrong, lol. I have GOT to stop reading these forums. hahaha!
