Yup, Daisy attended yesterday (I think Missouri Gal today) and she told me that it was very informative and at some points even fun. She and I went over most of the information before, so she knew a lot of it already. They also went through (in her course) how to travel internationally. That last part she said she kind of ignored because she will be traveling with me. LOL

Melanie has her interview next Wednesday the 22nd and we have scheduled the CFO for Friday the 24th. She will be spending the time between her interview and leaving to the US with her brother in Manila. She wants to do something useful with her time, so she plans to do the CFO while she waits for the visa to be issued.

My understanding is that this can be done - she just has to make another trip there to get her passport sticker as soon as she gets the visa issued. Apparently she does not need to be there early - just go there, bring the passport and they will affix the sticker and she's good to go.

Daisy is getting close! May she have safe travels. :)

About CFO

My fiancé just went to CFO. He arrived early 5am(?) and said there were a lot of people already. His appointment was 9am-12 but was told to come 1.5 hours early. He was asked to fill out a registration form that asked my ( Petitioner's) email address and phone number.

He was asked this question. Tell me about your fiancé and what do you like about her? (He answered: She is very caring and she cooks good ( haha)

Other questions during the one on one interview.

How did you meet? Any prior marriage? Her mother's maiden name? Her mother's full name? How long have you been together? Does she have any children?

After the 3 hour seminar, he was given a certificate and was advised to come back when he gets his visa so that they can put a sticker on his passport. All Filipinos should have this sticker or they will not be allowed to depart form Philippines.

He is back home now. Thank God for the safe trip for my fiancé. :-)

Yup, she should go to the CFO beforehand and return after her visa is issued. :)

I am flying there on the 24th and we are returning as a family on the 27th. We are so excited, it's so close we can both taste it. She is heading to Mindoro saturday for a final fitting of her wedding dress. Her mom will take it to Manila when they take Jessica to fly out with us next weekend. Daisy has been happy with the time alone to relax since she finished the CFO. :)

Hopefully the NOA2 comes quickly. I have seen them as quickly as 7-10 days after RFE reply and ours took about 45 days. Some have been longer. :(

Good luck to you

Yeah me and my fiance hoping to get the NOA2. As of right now, I'm happy that I'm spending my available time talking with his 8years old son in skype, teaching him some tagalog words which he really like to learn. So it will not be hard for me to get along with him when I get there. Goodluck and God bless to everyone!

I am hopeful you can get the police certificate quickly and clear your AP soon! It's great that you have the flexibility in your schedule to wait a little longer while tackling that road bump you guys faced! I know I would be kicking myself so hard in your situation! But it looks like you guys will overcome this!

Thank you

It's in Canada and they are processing it. :)

I'm kinda confused here, what is packet 3 and does NVC send any thing to petitional after NOA2?

Each embassy is different, so your packet three may request different things. The packet three is what the embassy sends out to either the petitioner or beneficiary and is the instructions on what to provide. In some places, the embassy requires you to let them know when you are ready with the packet three information, then they sent a packet four, which is your interview date.

In our case, the embassy emailed me with the interview date and the stuff we needed to bring. Some places use a site to allow you to schedule your interview at the embassy. See what you can find out about the embassy you will interview at and see if they provide a list of things to bring. Then you can make sure you have everything ready when you get your NOA2! :D

Oh, and after K-1s are approved by USCIS, the petition stays at NVC for only a short time. TSC sends the approved petitions to NVC faster than CSC does and you will get a message update when the file is sent to NVC. After NOA2, you will mostly deal with the embassy at that point!
