There's got to be a back story to those that we don't know about.

Shoe size? Seriously?? There was probably some other anomaly in the paperwork thatthey didn't feel good about and use shoe size as an excuse. Hard to think they would deny because of that. Would be an excellent reason for an appeal.

I asked Melanie last night what my shoe size is...

"WHAT?!?!?"

Then I told her the story...

"WHAT?!?!? Seriously???"

I asked her again. She said size 8. I told her close enough.

"How would they know your shoe size anyway? How would they know if I was right or not?

Smart girl....

Ya, Daisy works on a hope and pray for the best but expect the worst from others. Kinda cynical, but it seems to work for her. LOL

You have multiple options with the letter to take to medical. The DS-160 confirmation page works as well after you put in the application for her visa. Daisy had both.

Yes, she had two packets from SLEC, one for her and one for Jessica.

So, no appointments for SLEC. First come, first serve.

Earliest appointment for interview is 7/22, so we took that one. She will go for medical next week on 7/7 and come home. Her dad has his birthday on 7/18, so there will be a family get together for dad and also goodbyes to Melanie as she will go to Manila for her interview that following Monday 7/20. Provided she passes the interview, she plans to do the CFO seminar while she waits for the visa to be issued and spend time with brothers, sisters and other family there in Manila

She plans to pick up her visa in person at 2GO at Mall of Asia. I asked her last night if she preferred to go back home after the interview and ahve it shipped or stay in Manila, pick it up and fly directly here from Manila. With no hesitation, she told me she wants to pick it up and get here ASAP.

Tony, is Daisy picking her visas up at 2GO at MOA? Curious to see how long the time is from interview until delivery at MOA. I know every case is different, but just trying to get a ballpark idea what dates we should look for flights - of course no booking until visa in hand....

Anyone else with approval/issuance/pickup at 2GO at MOA recent experience??

Daisy and I have an apartment in Manila so she will pick up at MOA.

Daisy is heading to Mindoro with her Mom and Jessica on Thursday and spend a week to 10 days with her family. Her Mom will bring Jessica to Manila before the flight and see us off to the US. We are planning for me to fly from Omaha on Friday (arrive saturday night) and the 3 of us fly to Omaha on the following Tuesday. We are looking at the 21st and 28th depending on visa delivery right now. I'm going to take 2.5 weeks off work from friday then two weeks and the last monday so she has time to settle in, get her SSN (I sure with Jessica could get hers, but we have to wait for that after AOS) show her the area, etc and spend lots of time together. :D

My fiancé did his medical on June 29th and 30th. He presented the docs as required at Slec.ph. He has some vaccines done at other hospitals so he didn't have to do all the vaccines at SLEC. All that he needed to show was proof of having had the vaccines ( See SLEC.ph for other documents required). He got his passport stamped by SLEC, a cd, and an envelop which says DO NOT OPEN.

He stayed at Bocobo Hotel. A walk away from the hospital and it cost around 1500 pesos a day ( $35/day) . They have a restaurant which serves "ok" food. just ok, not great, LOL

He will have his interview on the 3rd/4th week of July. He will be staying at one of the hotels just across the street of the US Embassy. I usually stay in one of those hotels and the closest to the US Embassy is Bayview Hotel. It cost about 2500 pesos a day ($55-60/day)

By the the way, these are rainy season hotel rates ( it is now!) or if you have membership. Otherwise, double that amount.

Thanks again to all. The people in this forum has really helped us tremendously especially Gtessier who started this forum.

Ill post my updates!

God Bless everyone!
