Congratulations to the recent approvals, progress made and new arrivals in the US!!!! Welcome!!!!

Issam and I were married today!!!!! <3 <3 <3 We also popped down to the SSA and applied for his SSN and it should be here in two weeks. We're going to dinner tonight to celebrate and counting the hours until then because it's Ramadan and soooooooo hard! I admire his willpower and strength because I'm like, um, nope - must drink with these temps in the 90s!!! Anyway, much love to you all and keep plugging away those of you still waiting - your day is coming!!!!

Our medical is just two days away, then a week later is our interview! I am really amazed at the timing of our whole relationship. The timing of his UAE visa was fantastic. The day I was going to change our February flights was the day he received that visa. So rather than postpone our flight for May, like we were planning, we were able to change it to March - a few days before that visa expired! We were able to fill out the DS-160 before the computer glitch because of the time the petition landed in Kabul, then we managed to get the medical appointment and interview date for after his very much delayed final exams.

I was getting so very frustrated over my day gone tax transcripts! I was waiting to send him the documents and a glucose meter and such for dad because I was waiting for them. However, when I learned they would not be issued to me until after the end of May, I sent the box and it got there fine. After I got the transcripts, the electronic scan was not clear (and I didn't want my SSN on any printer's hard drive), so I sent them through USPS priority express. I was devastated when I saw they were delayed three days in NYC because I was hoping they would arrive to his city on the same week day as the package had just one week prior. I tell you what, I went on the USPS Facebook site and was complaining my head off!! LOL! I learned that US postal employees really, really, really, really LOVE their jobs! Some were nice, and others couldn't have been more mean in their comments! But I returned and commented back to those posts that the envelop had taken a more direct route than the box had, so he still received the envelop on the same week day and that was the day of his last final exam! He was leaving the next day!

My brave guy has since told his older brother about our engagement and to our relief, his brother accepted our relationship and is even happy for us! I am very comforted to know that he has greater family support in this process. That was a big joy in our little world! We needed that because we still pray for his father's ill health to improve. Sadly, his father's condition seems terminal based on the several recent medical reports I have read. We are like all of you on this thread - we just need each other!!!

Thanks for your support, Team March 2015!

In 12 hours Daisy will be in the middle of her interview. She is waking up at 4AM and plans to be at the embassy between 5 and 6AM. Her mom will be in the Starbucks across the street waiting. Daisy is so nervous right now I hope she can calm herself before she goes in. She is very concerned about failing and disappointing me. Only so much I can do to help her relax, just continue to reassure her that no matter what happens I love her and we will be married. I know she will do great, but everyone please send a prayer. :D

I'll post the results of her interview when I know.

The nervousness like that is normal? I've never had to go through something this stressful and I feel for her.

Oh yeah. I couldn't sleep the night before my interview. I was really anxious about it. But everything will be fine. Just tell her to be herself and talk to other k1 applicants while waiting that helped me stop feeling nervous. I think we were more than 20 k1 applicants and most of us got approved. She will be fine really. Just pray.

That's what I keep telling her. Be yourself, smile and be friendly.

Do you know the reasons for the ones that were not approved? I keep telling Daisy our paperwork is perfect and that's the main reason for failure.
