Well I had a small panic attack yesterday. I have not received my NOA2 in the mail. Yesterday I got an email stating that the Post Office had returned it. Not sure why...they have delivered everything else from USCIS just fine. That did not bother me much until I read the following. The part that freaked me out was that it said if I did not respond I would have to file again. I was like this is crazy, it is just a NOA2. I called USCIS and the first tier help desk was useless. They said my petition had not been sent on to NVC and that until they could deliver that my case had stop. They could not confirm my address, they could not tell me why the letter was returned. Then she got kinda mad when I asked to speak to a Tier 2 rep. But once I got to Tier 2 everything was sorted. My case is fine, it has gone to NVC, they confirmed my address was right and that I should speak with the post office and the lady was very nice and sorry for the misinformation that I was given.

So the reason I wanted to post was to say what everyone else on here says. Just ask to speak to a Tier 2 rep!!!!! They are truly the only ones who know anything.

Document Was Returned To USCIS

On June 24, 2015, the Post Office returned your document to us. We will hold your document for 180 days or until December 21, 2015. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the document to you. If you do not submit an online request by December 21, 2015, we will destroy your document and you will need to file a new Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), with fee. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Nearly there! (http://www.usvisas.s...tems-issue.html)

Visa Systems Issues

  • The Bureau of Consular Affairs reports that 165 posts, representing more than 85 percent of our nonimmigrant visa demand worldwide, are now online and issuing visas.
  • Posts overseas issued more than 82,000 visas on June 24.
  • Posts overseas have issued more than 238,000 non-immigrant visas this week. For context, if systems had been operating normally, posts would have issued approximately 540,000 visas since the outage started.

Lhen just got done with her interview. Everything went extremely well from what she said. Interview only lasted about 5 minutes. At the end, the lady was like "I don't see anything wrong here Approved". She told her to come back on July 2nd to get her Visa. She also said not to buy any plane ticket till yet, until she has her visa in hand because of all the technical problems going on. Thank you everyone for all your help. This journey was definitely made easier by this site and all of you. Good luck to everyone else as you get closer to being with your loved ones. This is just the beginning of course but iat least we can do things together side by side from here on out. Have lots of faith, GOD is good!

Congratulations!

Yeah, but I figure that there should only be about 30 more posts left to get online, so that's not too bad. I'm rather certain that Kabul is one of the 30, but we have a little less than 2 weeks before our interview. Maybe the effect will be minimal.

Do all the posts need to wait for the cumulative back log to clear? It seems that we all need to wait for the global visas waiting, right? Not just the visas waiting at our particular USEM?

Does it seem like that TSC is getting through November cases rather timely to anyone else? I haven't looked at the December approved cases, but the unapproved November list seemed rather small. I wonder if they will be close to being done with November cases within a few months?

Since the April 2015 TSC Processing Time chart on the USCIS site shows that TSC has gotten a lot of it's petitions within the 5 month goal, I was wondering if TSC would focusing on clearing it's Form I-129F overage inventory in the next coming months. CSC seems to have slowed to working cases within two months, which was expected, but TSC may get within 2015 soon...maybe?

Called NVC last night just before 8pm my time, 11pm Eastern. Speed dialed 32 times to get through past the "Due to large volume of calls we recieve..." recording and get someone on the line.

Good news, it appears we have a case number. The gatekeeper transferred me to a "specialist" and I waited for 45 minutes.

Specialist gets on line and tells me the system is down and she cannot see our case. UGH....

My last call was last Thursady and I got the "30 days" lecture. It had been 14 and I know 10-14 has been usual, so I was willing to play along with the game. So at sometime in the last 7 days it appears they have recieved our packet and assigned a case number. Since it has been 7 days, hard to tell status - whether it's "At NVC" or already "In Transit".

Since it is likely somewhere along the process, this weekend I will begin gathering all of the documents Melanie will need and likely DHL them to her next week. I need to get an letter from my accountant and all of my financials (P&L's, 1099's, bank statements, etc) together for the I-134 as I am self-employed.

At this stage of the process, another day delay is not an issue. Its just sitting for over an hour wasted for nothing due to system being down is a bit annoying. Grrrrr

Just got off phone with NVC. Complete opposite experience as last night...

Called 31 times and got through. No wait after that. Talked to a nice girl named Daphne. Gave me the Case number. After finally getting through the "lines are busy" 31 times, I was on the line less than 2 minutes.

Now I check CEAC site and already shows "Ready" and just arrived today. She told me the process date was 6/22.

Holy moly. I was not ready for this so soon. Need to pay the fees and schedule interview and medical. Also need to send the packet to Melanie with all of the things she needs.

I got si used to things moving so slowly - now everything wil move so quickly!
