I have read elsewhere that it should be treated like a job interview. I'll go out on a limb and say that a tank top, short shorts and flip flops may not go over well.

I was a manger in an insurance agency for about 10 years. I did hundreds of interviews. The company did not have causal Fridays and we did allow casual dress on Saturdays. I always felt that you could never overdress for an interview and for a man, a suit and tie showed me you were serious. For the women, a nice dress, just below the knees and heels no higher than 3" was professional. Any woman that dressed provocatively in any way was not considered. (Heels too high, low cut blouse, skirt too high, etc.)

Dress to impress and you will never go wrong.

Just to vent a little...How is out embassy sooooo slloooww???

Everyone here who's petition made it to the embassy has gotten their packet 3 within weeks. Kabul? "Oh, we probably did get it the beginning of May, but it takes about 6 weeks to get it from the mail room and put it in our system. Just chill..."

Argh! But hey, the package with our additional paperwork and stuff for dad has just barely left the US and should be landing overseas soon. And at least the package is at Kabul. It's there, it's there. It could be worse...way worse. But just had to vent a little...

Anyone having problems with getting their approved visa printed? Some are saying their embassy's site is saying a worldwide outage. I read something similar on a Canadian thread, but then all the posters said they received their visas. This one seems to be more recent that the previous one I saw:

Now that Is talented - nope I always hated to wear a dress. Skirt okay but as soon as it got to a dress...eh hell no . Now for some special events okay - just one issue...i can't walk with high heels I literally fail in it.

..oh well..but a normal jeans & nice shirt should be good to don't u think

No, he had to work all this week and hopefully Monday or Tuesday he can do and pay at the bank. In Ukraine it can only be paid there and you take the receipt to the medical I think.

I told him today he needs to hurry since he told me already to book the flight. (Knowing it'd be best to have the interview the next day in Kiev rather than have to make two trips.)

ya I didn't pay it either yet because I first want to make sure it's all correct & I did not missunderstood anything. So i'll let my fiance know how I answered these questions & can correct me just in case.

But ya paying it is at the moment still a book of seven seals - I think I gotta read on it more carefully then will I probably finally understand how thies with this stanley smth works.

Yeah, there is definitely a problem with the system. One problem on the 9th, which caused visas to wait, and then this one from today:

Sounds like they "hacked" pretty good into the system & made it unusable for the next time. But anyway in Germany happened smth like this too.

It's free to fill out. Are you asking about the procedures for paying the visa fees at your USEM?
