good question :D ...another question ..I'll visit him end of june.. so should I wait to complete the DS-160 ? Cause then I'd have to fill in the 3rd trip to the US. Right now there are just 2 trips ^^ Therefore it's in the future I can't put it in yet :D

So. My dad is filling I-134 and there is a question (my dad is a co-sponsor) "relationship to sponsor", my dad should write "fiancee's father" or "daughter's fiance"?

I'm the petitioner

  • Met: August 13th, 2010 month later decided to start relationship
  • Proposed - Jabuary, 2015
  • Decided to apply for k-1 visa - March, 2015
  • Sent I-129f to USCIS - March 27th, 2015
  • Got notification on I-129f - March 31st, 2015
  • NOA1 - April 7th, 2015
  • NOA 2 - April 30th, 2015
  • NOA 2 (hardcopy) - May 4th, 2015
  • NVC - May 13th, 2015
  • case sent to the embassy - May 15th, 2015
  • Ready to schedule an interview in embassy (on CEAC) - May 19th, 2015
  • Documents arrived to Russia and can physically schedule an interview - June 3rd, 2015
  • Interview (!!!!!) - June 11th, 2015 (neither approved or denied)
  • Administrative Processing - from 11th of June to July 15th

Green card:

  • Sent i-485, August 7th, 2015
  • Notification that they received it - August 13th, 2015
  • Noa-1 Sent to us - (were on vacation, got it on August 22nd)
  • Fingerprint appointment - September 1st, 2015
  • Walk-in - August 24th, 2015
  • RFE - August 26th, 2015
  • RFE evidence received in USCIS - September 14th, 2015

We've scheduled an interview for June 11th

Only 5 days left for y'all. Can't wait to hear how it went. :)

Finally we got our NOA2!

After 43 days of waiting after recieving needed documentation for an RFE, CSC finally approved our petition.

Now we can make plans and move forward. Seems from other timelines, its about 6 weeks from NOA2 to visa in hand for applications at the Manila Embassy and about 2 weeks after that for POE - if all goes well.

However, one valuable lesson has been not to bank on the timelines of others as every case is different.

Now the wait for case number at NVC, schedule medical exam and interview. In the meantime, I need to begin gathering all of the needed documents for her interview and get them off to her by DHL.

Ceac site now says status issued!!!! Hooray!!! So now we're in moving mode organising what we're bringing and what we're leaving. If course I want to bring everything lol. The furniture here is so pretty but it's way too expensive to ship, so we have to divvy it up amongst the family until we get settled. And evidently from what I can gather with my limited Darija, we're having a big party on Saturday. Oh dear, I'm rather a shy type and don't do well with a lot of attention. ack!!!

Hope everything is moving along well for everyone!!! Thank you for all of your kind words and support, it feels like we're a mini family here on the March board! ❤❤❤

OMG... I had used a lawyer to help me start the process by filling out the paperwork as I was intimidated. I just looked on my Dad's co-sponsor I-134 paperwork, and the lawyer has Fiance in this spot. :protest:

how important is NVC letter ?? i still didnt receive it and my mail have some problems currently..

do they ask at the embassy about it???

is there any other way of me getting it ? like email or log into some website to get it?

sometimes arrives it months after the wedding :D so don't worry if it takes a while..u don't need it. not that i'd know about it.

My case says it is READY and am crying now because everyone I asked for help here and God has been good to me.

My fiancé is ready with all his docs and just waiting for my supporting docs.

Anyone here know if US citizens need a transit visa to pass through Charles De Gaulle airport in France? I read the rules and seems like no, but I'm only familiar with Schipol airport in Amsterdam.
