Hello VJ!

Next week I'm going to Thailand for Valentines Day and our engagement ceremony. We have confirmation that our petition left NVC on 1/29. I was hoping packet 3 would be waiting in Thailand when I arrive, but now I'm not so sure. I haven't heard anything since 1/29 :crying:

Since I'll be with Pu, I'd like to do the health screening and vaccinations. However, the appointment center said I had to have the docs from the Embassy (packet 3) before we go for the screening. All the Packet 3 docs are available on VJ and the US Embassy website. Can we go get the health screening done before packet 3 arrives, or should she wait??? I noticed many timelines return packet 3 the same day it arrives, so I think it is possible to prepare forms ahead of time, just not too far ahead.

12/02/2006 Received verification of Change of Address - snail mail

01/10/2007 Bought ticket to visit Pu on Valentines Day!

01/17/2007 NOA2!! via email

01/29/2007 NVC Left - Headed for Bangkok!

02/07/2007 Packet 3 mailed from US Embassy!

02/10/2007 Packet 3 received

02/20/2007 Packet 3 mailed (EMS Next Day)

02/21/2007 Packet 3 Received at Embassy (no signature)

03/06/2007 Received response from Embassy - Packet 4 mailed 02/28/07. Interview scheduled 5/16/2007!

05/16/2007 Interview. Embassy requests passport amended. Luckily the turnaround time is two days in Bangkok.

05/21/2007 Pu returns to Embassy with new passport, visa granted. Visa issued the following day.

05/26/2007 Pu arrives in USA!

05/30/2007 Married!

06/26/2007 Overnighted AOS petition to Chicago Lockbox

06/27/2007 AOS petition delivered to Chicago lockbox, signed for by V Bustamante

Nevermind...just got a reply from the Embassy in Bangkok. They said Packet 3 mailed yesterday :dance:

and that is OK to download the forms from the internet and proceed with the health screening if you know you are close to receiving packet 3.

Dear Sir,

We have mailed the Packet 3 to this address on February 7, 2007.

BANGKOK 10520

Actually, the applicant can have the medical examination with the designated hospital without waiting for the mailed Packet 3 as the vaccination forms and others can be downloaded from the internet.

Have you got this following instruction yet?

Anyway, if the above address is valid, the applicant will receive the mailed Packet 3 very soon.
