Just another point of clarification....the 'issues' over the vaccine supplement didn't seem to begin till the late summer of 2005. So those of you who AOS'd prior to that would not have had the problem.

 Yup!

Remember you are looking for logic from the USCIS! There has been nothing consistent in how they have dealt with the Vaccination supplement form.

Heading Home!

I have a theory. I was testing it when the site blew up and the post got lost. Here is my theory:

Lucero and Angelica both had Vacs in Colombia for the K1. All of the shots could not be completed so the DS 3025 showed that there were outstanding issues for both of them. They both needed a second injection for Varicell ( I think that is for chicken pox).

We went to the health department and got the shot for Angelica and the said that due to Lucero's age it was not necessary to have a second injection. We carried all of this information to a CS and got the I 693A so that there was no confusion.

Here is my hypothesis:

I think if USCIS gets a DS 3025 with shots pending that they ask for an I 693A to clear that condition. That makes perfect sense to me.

Is there anybody that sent a DS3025 with a 100% injection accomplishment to the USCIS that got an RFE for an I 693A?

I think not!

Like George and Lynne, we decided to enclose a letter with our AOS application stating my husband received the necessary vaccinations in his home country for the Visa medical and that information would be in the brown packet he submitted at the POE (then we listed the location, date, etc of his entry). Apparently, this was good enough. We were never asked about it during the AOS interview. I did, however, see the vaccination worksheet filled out by the civil surgeon my husband saw in his home country when the adjucator was flipping through his file.

My two cents and some change...

- Kim did have a complete Vacination Record with all the required shots done.

- Kim did have the I-693 Sup done with the SEALED envelope

- Never got the RFE for anything

- Never been asked for the Sealed envelope at the AOS Interview

- Green Card is on its way to our home.

What do you make of that? In my opinion: do what you can, comply with the authority and sleep well at night! If you have gone this far into the Visa Journey, another hoop to jump to get the I-693, please don't stop! If you're absolutely impossibly able to comply, write a letter attached with your application and hope/pray/wish or just plain worry whether or not you'll get an RFE.

Thanks,

Chuck and Kim

Yup. Why invite more trouble. This process is bothersome enough as it is.

That was the point of my original post. I thought I had complied but then worried when I found out it was supposed to be in sealed enveloped. Turned out not to be a problem but....had I known (or researched better) I wouldn't have done it that way.
