Congrats Lettyana.

We were approved 3 days after you and just like you today I saw a case update that the card has been mailed. It seems that they have been slow in producing the GC over the last few weeks.

BTW

Did you receive a tracking number? I don't see any tracking number in my case update.

Thank you and congratulations to you as well!

Nope, I didn't get any tracking info yet. I even called today morning, but the representative just read me the same thing I can see myself on USCIS website. I feel like I will probably get my card before they update the shipping info, cuz that's what happened with my EAD too.

Tweety22,

Haha you are right and its kinda funny and weird at the same time :) congratulations!!! I'm kinda hoping to get it on Saturday, but more likely it will arrive on Monday or so.

KASH2011, thank you!

I'm one of the Baltimore filers and I've just had a good conversation with a tier 2 agent.

I rang 1 800 375 5283 - if you are an English speaker and you have your receipt number, then the fast way through the menus is as follows (you don't need to wait to hear the messages, as soon as the new message starts, you can enter then next number): 1, 2, 1, your receipt number (including the first three letters entered as their number), 1, 3.

This will get you in the queue for the tier 1 agent. I asked to speak with a tier 2 agent as I'd been waiting so long (I said that my lawyer told me to do this - not true, but they did put me through immediately).

After confirming my details, the tier 2 agent looked up my case. He said that it showed that it had been ready to be scheduled for an interview since June 9th (not the 28th, as it shows on the system - this seems to be when they got their computer issues sorted out, not the date that things actually happened). As this was over 60 days, he asked if I wanted a service request raised. I said yes. He then looked at where my file physically is, and it appears to still be a the National Benefits Center in Missouri, and hasn't been sent to Baltimore yet. This might be to help Baltimore with their backlog, or just a case of it getting missed. He's raised a service request for me with the NBC to ask when I can expect to find out my interview date, saying that it's been over 60 days since I was ready to be scheduled. He then gave me my referral number and said that I should hear back within 15 days. He said that as Sept 5th is a Saturday, and that Monday is the Labor Day, I should call first thing on the 8th.

He also said that calling at 8/ 8.30 in the morning is the best time to call as the wait is very short (under 15 minutes), but I actually recommend Friday afternoons - the whole call from start to finish, including hold time was 13 minutes!

I'll post an update if I hear anything about my case - not sure if this is actually going to speed things up, but it's probably worth the other Baltimore filers doing the same, if you haven't already?

Good luck everyone and congrats on those that are getting through their interviews and receiving their cards!
