Hi guys I finally got my interview scheduled for September 16 I'm so happy right now!!! remember I called on the 5th and I spoke to you a USCIS officer he told me that I should receive something before August 26 that he didn't know why my application was still at the national benefit center but he will transfer it to Chula Vista and if I didnt receive anything by the 26th to call back and he will take care of it I honestly recommend to call at least once a week.

My timeline

Sent application March 25

Uscis received it 1

Got biometrics done on April 21

August 11 got my interview email for September 16 in Chula Vista !

Congratulations on finally getting the interview date. You have inspired me to start calling every week. We have very similar timeline - the AOS application was sent in on March 27, biometrics done on May 1, and have been in a "we are ready to schedule your interview" status since June 28. Very frustrating but seeing that you got an interview date is encouraging. I hope Chula Vista is finally catching up.

Congrats to all the others who have got their interview dates and to those who have passed their interviews! Sorry to read that Baltimore filers are still waiting (like many others in California).

Good luck!

Today I received the Approval notice for I-130 and I-485... It was kind of a long journey for myself and my wife. We didn't stop asking, calling, going through the infopass once every month after our interview. My wife already booked an appointment for Friday this week; No need for that now as we got the approval notice. Thanks to everyone, the people I sent private messages to for their advice throughout the process of our case. I am grateful. Thank you www.visajourney.com. For those waiting for response from USCIS I wish you all the best.

Congrats!

Hello All,

I called USCIS today and after explaining to the "customeer service person" what was going and and my reason for calling, I was finally able to talk to a T-2, who after 5 minutes of holding came back and said everything looks good and we should be getting letter for interview soon, that has really made our day

Called yesterday but as usual was asked to keep waiting. I tried unsuccessfully to have me transfered to a superior instead the lady asked that I make an infopass appointment online.

They can't denied you the transferred to an officer just called and don't explain anything to the representive and just say "can you please transferred me with a Uscis officer and it's about a pending I-485" the two times I called they transferred me right away the only thing he ask for was my case number

Went to the interview today in Chicago this morning. Waited half an hour, interviewed for only 15 minutes. Basically we were asked to swear that everything we said were true, then she asked to look at our IDs and asked our date of birth, parents' names to make sure we are who we say we are. Then it's just a few questions like how did you guys meet, are you still working, who was at the wedding, blah blah. I showed her wedding photos from our bigger wedding ceremony in July, she didn't ask to see any original documents aside from IDs, and then just said she'll give the application one last look and that my green card should be along in 3-4 weeks because they are kind of backlogged.

I guess we were her easy case of the day :)
