So we had our interview today and I believe we were approved on the spot. At the end IO said he believes that our marriage is legit and I should get my green card in 1.5-2 weeks. He also gave me a notice about removing conditions in 2 years and it also states that I "have been granted conditional permanent residence in the US" and my conditional status begins today.

However I haven't get any emails or texts about any changes in my case yet, should I be worried? :(

So here how our interview experience was:

We arrived 10 minutes before the appointment, got to the second floor and started waiting to be called in. We were alone in the waiting room and after like 15-20 minutes the IO called my husband's name, I was gonna go with him, but the officer told me to stay in the waiting room. After 15 minutes of waiting I started get a little bit nervous that we will have to go through stroke interview, but tried to calm myself down and he called me in after 10 more minutes. I expected to be questioned by myself, but my hubby was in the room too, so it already made me feel more relaxed. After the oath IO started asking me questions. First 2 was just regular ones that I'm in a good health and don't have any conditions which can affect my ability to answer the questions and am I a Russian spy or not XD
He asked me next questions:
- how and where have we met each other
- how we jumped into romantic relationship
- what are 4 nicknames my hubby calls me at home (I was so shocked, so completely forgot 2 of them)
- what is the nickname I call my hubby (OMG! That was kinda embarrassing, cuz this nickname is really personal)
- if I would call my hubby a king, king of what he'd be (again it's another embarrassing question regarding the nicknames we gave each other)
- he said my husband told him about my degree, so where is this degree from and in which field of study
- what was the last place we went out for dinner
- what is our favorite place to go out (we don't have it, but lately went to one place a lot of times, so I guessed correctly)
Than he started typing something and I asked him, if he wants to see our photo album. He took a look at couple of pics, asked me if I wanna give him any new evidence, so I just gave him all we had and he didn't even take a look at it, just put it in a folder. He also asked me where do I work now and my phone number. That was pretty much it, we talked for a little bit about Russian language and how to learn it(because, such a coincidence, he speaks Russian!!) and he walked us back to the entrance.
My husband told me that he asked him a lot of questions about our life together, a lot of details how we met and ended up getting married, our apartment, jobs and more, but he never asked me even a half of those questions.

Anyway it was a pleasant experience, the IO was polite and friendly and tried to help me when I was confused.. But anyway I'm just happy that all this process is over.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!!! Honestly just be yourself and if your marriage is real, you won't have any problems getting approved :)

Congrats,

Adjusting from F-1 Visa
