Seems like USCIS website and app are now working again!

did you get an update online? If so was it a same day update, meaning they approved you today and today you got the update? Or when you check the website does it say that you were approved a few days ago and they are now just telling you? I am just wondering how much the delay is between the online and app updates and when they actually approve the case.

No it's just that for the last 3/4 days, it said that my receipt numbers weren't associated with any case. And now I can check my cases again. The last update I received was when I received my EAD card, and the online status changed the same day I received the actual card.

So I got a notice from USCIS today that our interview was canceled. I'm so upset, but mostly pissed off about this whole situation. They gave us a date and less than a week later they cancel it. Now I'm really confused and frustrated about how long it's gonna take for them to reschedule.

It's just like they gave us a hope that this whole waiting game and process will be over soon and than they took it away. So mad at USCIS :(

Great day - came home to a letter in the mailbox saying my interview is scheduled for Monday July 20th. Super excited that we are getting so close to the green card.

03/18/15: Send application

03/22/15: Application received

03/25/15: NOA 1 emails/texts

04/13/15: biomnetrics appointment letter

04/16/15: successful biometrics appointment

06/10/15: Received email - EAD picked up by post office!

06/11/15: Received EAD

06/18/15: Received interview notice in the mail for July 20th 2015 (was send on 06/12/15)

did they explain why they canceled ur interview at all? that is really unfair!

3/18/2015 received by USCIS in Chicago

3/24/2015 3 Text/e-mail notifications received

3/28/2015 Hardcopies of NOAs in the mailbox (i-130, i-485, i-765)

4/06/2015 Received notification of biometrics

4/17/2015 Biometrics done as scheduled.

4/27/2015 i-485 online status changed ready to schedule an interview. YAY!!!

5/21/2015 i-485 interview is scheduled for June 23rd!!! OMG so surprised!!!!

THis happens if your local office is extremely back logged and they are doing restructuring or may be there is an event happening at the local office like an "office party", on your interview day and they would not be able to see you. Schedule an info pass, and talk to someone to make sure this is not some kind of a error. Or you can just plan to show up on the original interview date. The worst they could do is turn you away. There are some threads in this forum of people's interview being cancelled for I unspecified reasons. From what I hear, it does not take too long to reschedule your interview. It would only be delayed by a few weeks. However, I know it must be so difficult, getting your interview date cancelled. Hang in there...this process is very stressful.

My day 75 passed while we were on vacation (June 10th), so I got around to filing a service request and then contacting my Senator on Tuesday of this week (June 16th). I didn't get any notifications, but I just checked online and it shows my EAD as having been shipped!

I'm so excited as my current job (on an H1B) is ending on June 30th so this will allow me to get another job with minimal hassle - yay! (I only found out about my job a few weeks ago so this last month or so has been *super* stressful.

I'm now not that worried time-wise about the interview as, as long as I can work, it doesn't matter as much to me about the how soon I can be a perm res!

Congrats to everyone who has had movement on their case and for everyone else - hold tight - I'm sure good news is coming your way soon!

out of nowhere, I just received an email saying that usps has picked up the work authorization 2 days ago.. i should be getting it today or tomorrow.. YAY!! One step closer to the goal..

- 03/25/2015 : Package sent via USPS certified mail with return receipt.

- 03/27/2015 : Notification from USPS - Package delivered and signed for at 7am.

- 04/01/2015 : Emails/Texts from USCIS.

- 04/02/2015 : Money was taken out of bank account.

- 04/06/2015 : Hard copies of receipts.

- 04/10/2015 : Biometrics letter in mail. Scheduled for 04/20

- 04/20/2015 : Biometrics completed. In and out in 5 min.

- 05/15/2015 : Opened a service request about the EAD

- 05/19/2015 : EAD card picked up by post office.

- 05/19/2015 : EAD card delivered.

- 08/25/2015 : Interview scheduled for 09/29/2015 (approved on spot)

- 10/03/2015 : Card received (4 days after interview)

Im on holidays n just received textmsg tht my workpermit got delivered. Got Approved on the 2nd and havent heard anything after tht till now. Yay! :)

22 december 2014 - POE on VWP in EWR

26 december 2014 - married

2015 decided to do AOS

20 march - packet sent

22 march - arrived at chicago (day 1)

27 march - check cashed (day 6)

5 april - bio appointment received for april 15 (day 15)

10 april - sucessfull walkin bio + finally received NOAs (day 20)

15 april - original bio date (day 25)

2 june - EAD approved (day 70)

30 july - e-mail received, interview is scheduled on sept 2 (day 130)

Waiting for interview now..

2 sept - interview (on day 164..)

Lettyana, I'm sorry to hear this. That's really messed up considering us waiting everyday. I hope they give you a new interview date soon :(

3/20/15: Sent paperwork to USCIS

3/27/15: NOA1 case received

4/22/15: Biometrics

4/20/15: RFE (initial evidence, not enough income to sponsor).

5/1/15: Sent back RFE

5/8/15: RFE received

5/19/15: Case ready for interview

5/26/15: Interview schedule for 6/30/15

so far I havent' received EAD or A/P to travel yet
