Got my EAD card today, finally, after 78 days of waiting.

Just an update - On May 20th i called up USCIS and submitted an inquiry into the EAD and AP, since it was day 75. The next day, i emailed my senator and asked them to help me out. I was going out of the country for 10 days.

Got the text updates on May 21st as the flight was on the runway about to take off that the EAD and AP were approved! Pretty wild. :-)

I really think it was indeed the senator and not the USCIS inquiry that helped. Thanks to all those who recommended i follow that path. I would highly recommend to others that they reach out on day 75 too.

Came back to the US yesterday to find my EAD + AP card in my mailbox. Feels great. :-)

My local office is chicago, so i imagine it's a long wait now for the interview.

We are getting close to day 75 so most likely following same path. What did you count as day 1?

Does anyone have a sample letter of what to write to senator? Or should we write congressman? Is it worth also opening an inquiry with USCIS, I am hesitant since they are so adament you cannot inquire until 90 days?

November 2014 - Married (private courthouse wedding, plan to get married with friends/family in a few years)

3/20/15 - Mailed I-485, I-130, I-131, I-765 to USCIS via FedEx Overnight

3/23/15 - Day 0 AOS Package delivered to USCIS Chicago lockbox

3/26/15 - Day 3 Checks cashed

3/30/15 - Day 7 NOA1 e-mail for all forms

4/13/15 - Day 22 Received notice in mail for biometrics appointment
4/21/15 - Day 30 Scheduled biometrics appointment successful in Indianapolis
6/3/15 - Day 73 EAD Card in Production!!! Wooo!!!!!!
6/10/15 - Day 80 Received EAD/AP Combination card via USPS
7/10/15 - Day Interview Notification via Email (approximate date)
8/17/15 - Interview in Chicago
9/1/15 - Green Card Recieved

Your NOA letters (Or the website) will state a "Receive Date", which is what i used as day 1.

I would agree that the USCIS inquiry is more or less useless.

USCIS actually responded to my inquiry with a letter saying that i was basically within the 90 day processing timeframe, and so they could not do anything. Funnily enough, this arrived on the same day as my EAD card. :-)

I'm fairly confident the Senator's staff had something to do with my approval.

For the format, i just stated my receipt numbers, dates, and asked them to check into the status of my application.

I'll try dig up what i sent.

No word yet from USCIS... got all the required documents (on standby) the IO suggested I should have ready in-case there's a request for additional evidence. I still tried calling over the phone to know whats up with my I-765 since it is over 75 days. I called twice and each time I was asked to wait till the 90 day for a decision to be made. well, that will be on Tuesday next week. I need to go find me a new hobby. Maybe I will get a Guitar for a start.

03/18/15: Send application

03/22/15: Application received

03/25/15: NOA 1 emails/texts

04/13/15: biomnetrics appointment letter

04/16/15: successful biometrics appointment

06/10/15: Received email - EAD picked up by post office!

06/11/15: Received EAD

06/18/15: Received interview notice in the mail for July 20th 2015 (was send on 06/12/15)

Less than 24 hours from making the call to getting it approved. HAPPY is not a word that describes how I feel enough right now.

Congrats! I called yesterday and apparently that was my 74th day. So I'm going to call again on Wednesday. Hopefully I can hear some good news before the end of this weekend!

04/03/2015 (Day 17): Received biometrics appointment letter scheduled for 04/15/2015

04/15/2015 (Day 29): Biometrics done

06/03/2015 (Day 77): called USCIS to open up a case inquiry, case was not assigned anyone.

06/05/2015 (Day 79): received email confirmation of case inquiry. Case assigned to officer, standard reply that the case is under review, blah blah.

06/11/2015 (Day 85): apparently NOA is issued on this day, EAD/AP approved the day before, see next line.

06/16/2015 (Day 90): received hardcopy NOA in mailbox, EAD/AP approved. No updates electronically.

06/19/2015 (Day 93): EAD/AP combo card received in mail! Online status suddenly changed to card delivered.

07/13/2015 (Day 117): received electronic NOA for I-485, interview scheduled for August 13th!

08/13/2015 (Day 147): interview! I think we are approved?

OMG really! It shouldn't make a difference

I know right!! :@ He was like no madam i can not talk to u i need to talk to your husband. I need his approval. So I made my husband call frm work and also made him file a complain. He talked to a very nice lady apparently and my EAD is approved after 5 min. Prolly coincidence but still happy he called.

My mood is in a rollercoaster frm super pissed off to super happy :P finally something happening after 70 days yay
