when (after how many days) can one ask his state representatives (senator or congressman) to look into his case process?

I believe when it's out of USCIS processing time. You can try to open a service inquiry with USCIS first.

February 4, 2021 Received an update online that the interview is scheduled for March 16th

It took around a week since they say (received RFE) until it got updated to 'case ready to inteview', and another week to 'interviewed date is scheduled...". I can't believe it, i did expect to wait longer, so this was a nice surprise.

Wow so happy and jealous!!!!! Congratulations USCIS received my RFE since April 21 and is stuck there since ? you are very lucky ?

Thank you everyone, my office is Tampa. I think we're coming to the finish line as look like they're processing more and more cases for March now, i do notice that most of my case updates come as text at Monday morning/sunday night. Hopefully all of us will get EAD and interview soon!

3/20/15: Sent paperwork to USCIS

3/27/15: NOA1 case received

4/22/15: Biometrics

4/20/15: RFE (initial evidence, not enough income to sponsor).

5/1/15: Sent back RFE

5/8/15: RFE received

5/19/15: Case ready for interview

5/26/15: Interview schedule for 6/30/15

so far I havent' received EAD or A/P to travel yet

Thanks for replying Lettyana. I just want this to be over and if contacting one of my representatives will help my case move forward, then i'm more than willing to try.

- 03/25/2015 : Package sent via USPS certified mail with return receipt.

- 03/27/2015 : Notification from USPS - Package delivered and signed for at 7am.

- 04/01/2015 : Emails/Texts from USCIS.

- 04/02/2015 : Money was taken out of bank account.

- 04/06/2015 : Hard copies of receipts.

- 04/10/2015 : Biometrics letter in mail. Scheduled for 04/20

- 04/20/2015 : Biometrics completed. In and out in 5 min.

- 05/15/2015 : Opened a service request about the EAD

- 05/19/2015 : EAD card picked up by post office.

- 05/19/2015 : EAD card delivered.

- 08/25/2015 : Interview scheduled for 09/29/2015 (approved on spot)

- 10/03/2015 : Card received (4 days after interview)

First i got the update: we ordered your new EAD card, I got this update twice and then I got the e-mail same day in the night saying case was approved. In general can you tell me how long till i receive my EAD in my hand?

It's ok, I got 3 emails about my EAD within 4 hours on the same day. I suppose it takes around a week for them to produce the card and around 2-3 days for delivery.

Sure, I understand exactly how you will. I'd say you should wait for a little while before contacting your congressman, because I've seen some people got responses that congressman/senator can't get information or push their case because it's still being proceed within the normal processing time according to USCIS. Sorry if it sounds kinda frustrating :( Anyway good luck to you and hope you will hear some good news pretty soon :)

I contacted the USCIS yesterday morning regarding my I-765 and they created a service request for EAD. Today the case status was updated to indicate "Card Was Ordered To Be Produced"

I guess if they were not working on my case, now they might have started to work on it.

Day 12 >> March 20, 2015 --- Received NOA1 for I-130, I-485 and I-765.

Day 20 >> March 28, 2015 --- Received letter for biometrics appointment.
Day 29 >> April 6, 2015 --- Successfully completed the scheduled biometrics appointment (took only 10 minutes, very good staff in Albany :thumbs: )

Day 79 >> May 26, 2015 --- Contacted USCIS to raise a service request for I-765

Day 80 >> May 27, 2015 --- Received an email notification and the case status for I-765 changed to indicate that employment card for I-765 was ordered

Day 85 >> June 01, 2015 --- EAD Card was mailed

Day 88 >> June 04, 2015 --- Received the EAD Card

Day 117 >> July 03, 2015 --- Received the email and the case status for I-485 changed to show interview is scheduled for July 30.

Day 144 >> July 30, 2015 --- Had our interview and got approved immediately. Case status was updated to show that the Green Card is being produced :)

Day 166 >> August 21, 2015 --- Case status updated to "Green card was mailed" (did not see any tracking number)

Day 169 >> August 24, 2015 --- Received 2 year Conditional GC in mail. :dance:

Hey guys,

I have a question to people who already got their EAD. Did you get an email with the tracking number and how long did it take dor USPS to pick your card up after your status changed to "card was mailed"?

My status changed to "card was mailed to you" yesterday around 8:30 am and I still have no updates about the tracking number :(

Hi Lettyana,

I received an email with USPS tracking number the same day my "card was mailed". And when I checked the USPS tracking site , I noticed my package was picked up the same day I received a "card was mailed" message. I do not think you should worry because sometimes USCIS website updates are not accurate or takes time to come up.There is actually no formula to this. lol. Most people receive their card within 2 days after it has been mailed.

As a side note, I know you a filing from J-1, did you ever need a 2yrr waiver at all?
