Hi hansdampf,

have you tried to open a service inquiry about your EAD/AP? You definitely have been waiting for more than 75 days.

Thanks! I did, last week, but I haven't heard back on that either. The response time for a service request is 15-30 days, which is kind of ridiculous, since that pushes well beyond the 90 day period.

Nope, nope, I've been checking both my email and my status like a hundred times every day, but no changes so far, which is really frustrating :(

I tried to open a service inquiry today, but the USCIS representative told me that since we had an RFE we will need to wait up to 60 days after they received it to open an inquiry. I got really upset, but I'm not sure that it's a 100% truth, because I've seen people getting they EAD approvals around the normal processing time even if they had RFE too. Also it seemed like he doesn't really know anything and was just reading the information from their website. So I don't know what to think, I'm slowly loosing any hope to hear something anytime soon :(

Did you try to inquiry about EAD? Because you didn't pass 75 days yet, just be patient, I bet you will get EAD approved on regular time.

Woke up this morning and saw my status "case is ready to schedule for an interview". It was like 2 weeks after they received my rfe

3/20/15: Sent paperwork to USCIS

3/27/15: NOA1 case received

4/22/15: Biometrics

4/20/15: RFE (initial evidence, not enough income to sponsor).

5/1/15: Sent back RFE

5/8/15: RFE received

5/19/15: Case ready for interview

5/26/15: Interview schedule for 6/30/15

so far I havent' received EAD or A/P to travel yet

Yeah, I did. Thank you ggodoi, I will be reaching my 75 days this Friday, so hopefully I will hear something really soon. It's just really frustrating to see how people getting their EAD and status updates after RFE, while ours is just remain the same every day.

This process is sooooo painful! I would be happy to wait 3x longer for the interview if we could just get the EAD a litttttttle faster! Alas, we will be patient. Hopefully Indianapolis isn't like ridiculously backlogged?

We are at day 59 total and a month post biometrics...am I wrong to be optimistic that we may not get an RFE?

Oh also, on the USCIS website I am subscribed to mobile/email updates - do those come in right away? I.E. should I stop obsessively checking the website as well?

One can hope! Congrats to everyone who has received good news recently!

u can download USCIS app on ur phone and it will make it easier for u to check 100 times a day like me. LOL

Can anyone who has reached out to a congressman/senator explain how the process works?

Since yesterday was day 75, i asked for a service request, but they mentioned that USCIS has 30 days to respond, which seems insane to me. :-)

Do you contact your senator, or congressman? And if so, how? Over the phone? Email? Visit the office personally?

Hoping to try some sense of where things are, because they seem to have just stalled.

OMG, just checked my cases not even hoping for any good news and had a nice surprise that my EAD was approved today and card is in production. I'm almost crying right now and can't believe it's finally happening, cuz I've been sitting home for almost 7 month now since my visa has expired. So happy :)

Today is a day 73 from the date on my NOA1 for I-765 and I did count the date as day 1.

I think most of the people contact their congressman first. You should check your congressman website. For example, on the website of our NH congressman there is a special link called "Help with a Federal Agency" which has all the information you need.

My advice is try to type "contact congressman visajourney" in Google search, it will give you a lot of threads with useful information.

OMG, just checked my cases not even hoping for any good news and had a nice surprise that my EAD was approved today and card is in production. I'm almost crying right now and can't believe it's finally happening, cuz I've been sitting home for almost 7 month now since my visa has expired. So happy :)

Today is a day 73 from the date on my NOA1 for I-765 and I did count the date as day 1.

Congrats Lettyana! So happy for you.I exactly know how you feel. Mine was mailed to me yesterday and according to USPS tracking, I should receive it tomorrow. It seems like, finally us march filers, our cases are moving along.

04/13/2015: Early walk-in biometrics successful

05/12/2015: EAD approved

05/19/2015: EAD card mailed

05/20/2015: EAD delivered

08/21/2015: I-485 interview notice( scheduled 09/24/2015)

09/24/2015: I-485/I-130 interview( approved)

09/30/2015: Greencard ordered for production
