Congrats kkjiang. What a fast journey. I was looking at your Local field's time processing ( https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do;jsessionid=abctF-3KD7spv86R8o31u ) and it shows that they are now working on applications from september 2014 which is not accurate ( unless i'm mistaken ) since you got your interview scheduled already. I guess the time processing on uscis website are not accurate then.. kinda good news for the rest of us. Let's hope for the best and keep our fingers crossed.

I jus checked that time frame, I guess thats really not accurate because my friend, who also applied for green card thru marriage in Jan in LA and got RFE once, now is having her interview on 5/29. So i think all the cases in LA are being processed comparably faster than other states. hope u will get something exciting soon too! LOL

Well...I received my EAD yesterday so I decided to go to SSA to apply for SSN just because. It was pretty easy. The clerk only asked for my EAD card and passport.I shared this info for those who could be wondering what documents would be required. I was told I should receive my card within 4 weeks. Good luck to you all once again!

I'm not awe787, but I definitely can answer that. It will state "valid for work with DHS authorization", which will be your EAD. After you receive your GC, you should go to SSA again and they will remove this restriction. Hope it helped.

Interview went well... Normal questions from what you answered on all the forms... I-485, 130 etc. Nice guy. Didn't get seperated. He said he might send us another RFE on my I-864 cause there's something going on with my joint sponsor tax returns. Also he needs me to send back the original decree papers of my wife's first divorce. What we got from the court sent to our email is not acceptable by the Immigration. He said we should try and get all that worked out while he will try to see if his supervisor will just give it a pass. So it is either I get an Rfe which I need to respond to on time and get approved or I get greencard in the mail. He said congratulations at the end and we shook hands. We got there on time and was called in 5mins before our appointment time. I asked him about not having my EAD, he said: you don't need that... You will get your green card before you know it. This left me completely deflated!!! I went to an interview and got nothing! Now I have to keep checking my mail and text messages... Uuuurgggh.

I also forgot to mention that I changed my name when I got married, so I needed to get a new card with a new name on it. Something funny is that the lady did not ask me for the marriage certificate at all.

The new card does not have any restrictions on it. However, since I did not apply for AP, it states "not valid for re-entry"

Sorry Chewy2012, i think I misunderstood your question. I am not sure what the new SSN will be like. I will have to wait and see

Thank you for sharing azukabenson. I think you can just have the court mail you the certified decree and have it ready just in case. It should only take a few days for you to get it. But I am definitely crossing my fingers that you get approved soon! Have a nice day.

OMG!!!! OMG!!!

so now its 6.08am in Los Angeles. I woke up at 6am and checked on my phone.

I saw a notification from USCIS app, and I felt so happy cos I thought there was finally some progress and my EAD might be approved!

and then I realized it is not about i-765, but about update of my i-485!!!

I am now scheduled to have an interview on June 23 which is next month!!!

I feel so relived and happy cos its only been 2 months since I submitted my application.

Hopefully I will hear about my EAD later this month. OMG so excited that now I am still shaking!!!

Yes it did thanks, our interview is on June 10th and still haven't received EAD yet. I think I'm going to have hubby wait until he gets his GC to get SS card. Our SSA office is horrible! I wouldn't want him to have to go back twice within I would assume only a months time :)

When I changed my name it was a whole day process of waiting!

March 20, 2015 (Day 8) - Checks Cleared Bank

March 24, 2015 (Day 12) - Received NOA hard copies in mail (I130, I485, I765, I131)

March 27, 2015 (Day 15) - Biometrics appointment received - April 8th

April 8, 2015 (Day 27) - Biometrics complete

May 6, 2015 (Day 54) - waiting..... :whistle:

May 8, 2015 (Day 56) - Interview scheduled for June 10th!

May 27, 2015 (Day 75) - EAD Card being Produced & AP Approved

June 3, 2015 (Day 82) - Received EAD card in mail

June 10, 2015 (Day 89) - Approved I-485

June 18, 2015 (Day 97) - Received GC in Mail!!! :dance:
