The lawyer said Snowden had so far only received a guarantee from the US Attorney General that he will not face the death penalty.

Because the far right is so enamored with traitors and dictators? I'm not sure any American should be happy with what he exposed nor with the fact that he committed treason to expose it.

When the government has presided over a decade long policy of torture and detention without trial, on top of hijacking the military to fight a war in Iraq for private gain I think people getting their panties in a bunch about a whistle blower is sort of missing the point. Edited by For Ffolkes Sake

Because they already have.


IMHO he is being rewarded for treason by staying in Russia. Many here would jump at the opportunity to leave socialist America, ruled by a dictator, and move to mother Russia, the cradle of democracy and freedom, ruled by Putin, de facto leader of the free world...

He is a traitor. Let him stay in Russia.

Apparently. I'd hate to live in a country where I felt that miserable about. I'd pack my stuff and go in a heartbeat.
