Hello everybody,

I am just wondering whether I need to have my fiance and her co-sponsor fill out an I-134 or 1-864 affidavit of support form.

I will eventually be having an interview in London and wondered which form was required. I am really confused because different places state different forms.

Many thanks,

Tom

Hi,

They will both need to fill out I-134. Both of then will need to get the form notorised which is generally free at any Post Office. Its important to provide the required supporting documentation such as W2s, payslips and proof of assets or deposits if these are needed

Thankyou everybody,

I was only really doing it all now because I have nothing else to do whilst waiting for CSC!

Is it even worth doing it now or should I wait for packet 3?

Also Keigwyn mentioned tht you can get things notarised at the post office. Is that possible in all US post offices or only a few? My fiance only mentioned she could get things notarised by a specific notary service which costs quite a few dollars by the sounds of things.

Once again thanks for your help.

Post offices here don't do notorizations. Most banks have a notary on staff so have her go to her bank and ask.

It depends where you are I guess. The post mistress at my fiancees local po did the notorizations for free in the UP Michigan,

TracyTN,

Most any responsible person can become a notary. Check the laws in your state, might be something you'd like to do.
