Things didn't go as I expected....

He said upfront I have good and bad news... Good news is that I can proceed with your interview and the bad news is that they are still waiting on Pau's FBI clearence. Which I kinda expected. Anyways he continued with the interview which was nothing much to it. He just made a bunch of checks and scribbles and asked a few things and asked for the deed to our house and copy of my birth certificate and took Paul's I94 out of his passport and put all that into his folder and he said they would notify us when the FBI clearence came thru and when they have made a decision about our case...whatever that means!! We wasn't told that we was approved at the interview what so ever the guy was just a jerk about it all to be honest. He did say all of our paperwork was excellent and he didn;t need anything thing else to put in the file other than the things I mentioned above. I was liek uhhh you dont need to see our wedding pictures or anything along those lines? He said nope I have everything I need! I was like OK, and I then questioned him about him pulling Paul I94 from his passport and us traveling back to England next month and would that be a problem. He was trying to tell us if he left the country that Paul would be denied, and I about burst into tears and I was like uhhh sir we have a AP!! He said that didnt matter that if Paul's approval came thru while we was out of the country that Paul would be denied on the AOS! I was like #######??? I said OK then why buy the AP then? He then asked when exactly was we traveling and I told him March 23rd- April 1st and he said if the approval came thru during that time he would hold it until After APril 1st for us. So I dunno ####### all that means at all!! I asked does that mean we are approved and he said no that means once we get the FRI check back that we will let you know of our decision at that time! SO who the ####### knows! All I know is that I am physically drained from all this immigration stuff and I am sooo ready for it to be freaking over!

Dissappointed,

Stacy and Paul

I think the guy is wrong -- I know a few people in the waiting FBI clearance thread who have travelling on AP after their interview and got back in with no problems.

I 'm sorry about your wait -- I know it really sucks, it's terrible that they have your whole life in their hands. Check in at the FBI thread and ask people about AP experiences (I think dani-christine travelled a few times without any problems but I could be wrong.

I agree about the travel thing - the guy is talking out his #######.

Sorry that you're now stuck in FBI namecheck, too. Seems to nearly be the norm anymore.

We feel for you Stacey. It is just so crazy that some got their AOS approved without interviews. Just be hopeful that the FBI name check will be done soon.

Godspeed,

Re-reading oyur post Stacy it sounds like you interviewer was a lot like ours -- he didn't tell us we were approved either. This made us feel insecure becauseof reading about people here being told they were "approved" pending FBI clearance (though technically not approved till that happens anyway)

Dissappointed,

Stacy and Paul

I can imagine how you feel. I had my interview yesterday, and the guy was really nice and almost sorry he couldn't do anything about FBI check. And even though he said he is approving us, I felt dissapointed and drained with the whole thing. And same as you, he didn't want any pictures, and even when I started taking out all the proof, at some point he said "Oh that's enough, I don't need anything else".

You are not the only one stuck in this, there are lots of us. We have to hang in there.

I hope you get your approval soon.
