I received my EAD/AP combo card today. Upon checking all the details, instead of only putting my married surname they included my maiden name. I don't want to have 2 surnames. I didn't also make a mistake when i passed my applications.

When i had my biometrics, the girl from uscis instructed me to send a letter for name change since my name was not yet updated in their system. The next day we sent the letter and after 2 weeks they updated my name. But upon receipt of my combo card today, they probably misinterpreted my letter.

How can i make some changes? Do i need to pay for fees again?

Hi there,

I have been following this thread for a long time but finally decided to talk.

I am adjusting status from f1, filed to the Chicago lockbox and was sent to the National Benefits Office. It has been 83 days and I still have absolutely no news about my card. I placed an expedite on May 27th, they later on requested evidence which I probably sent 5 times. They let me place another expedite on June 9th (not sure why I did that or why they let me do it and they still asked for the same stuff).

I am already out of work for a week (my old EAD card expired on 6/13, which I mentioned on the expedite) and tried everything. I tried a congressman, calling, tier 2 officers, info pass (they have no appointments open) and even the other office that assists you with cases.

I secretly hoped the system was just not getting updated but the tier2 officer saw it was still pending 2 days ago, so I just lost all hope.

This has to be the worst process I have ever been through.

Yup, I did, and also emailed them.

Did they get back to you quick? For me it has been just one day but where I am in the process is extremely frustrating.

BTW folks, USCIS case status website is down for maintenance. Maybe good news tomorrow?
