Thank you so much jens_prodigy :) I felt so relieved. I really need to accompany my husband to his travel. Actually we're here in AZ and we'll be traveling all the way to MA :) I will update you on our journey :) Regards to your husband.

No problem, I surely understand the paranoia involved in every step of this process. We don't want to make even one small misstep so I understand. Be safe and enjoy your trip.

P.S. It's my WIFE not my husband but thank you for the warm regards, we'll take them. :)

You are welcome and thank you for the compliment. In fact Arizona is a state where all immigrants are required by law to carry proof of lawful presence.

"U.S. federal law requires all aliens over the age of 14 who remain in the United States for longer than 30 days to register with the U.S. government, and to have registration documents in their possession at all times; violation of this requirement is a federal misdemeanor crime. The Arizona act additionally made it a state misdemeanor crime for an alien to be in Arizona without carrying the required documents. "

Read more here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona_SB_1070

Plus, since Arizona is a border state you can run into some CBP officers.

This all is not to scare you. Just make sure you carry all the documents you mentioned and everything will be fine. :)

Thank you for informing me :) Yup you bet, Arizona really has a lot of CBP Officers. I saw it when we tried traveling to San Diego a few weeks ago and everything's alright although I got nervous on the CBP officers on the border between AZ and CA, we had atleast 2 Customs Border check but since we're taking a different route this time ( AZ to New Mexico etc..) I'm not that sure if they're all the same. I will update you guys :)

I DID say that she should carry them for piece of mind but that I didn't choose to myself Like you said, it's a personal choice. I've lived and travelled in the States for many years before returning here on a K-1 visa so I guess that's why I feel more comfortable and pretty certain that she won't be stopped for any reason and on the off chance she does, having her valid passport and a proof of ID is, in my opinion, enough. Just my opinion though, don't listen to me, in fact take all your papers with you darling , take 'em in a big ole fifty pound folder, strap it to the top of your car. lol. Have fun.

Haha LOL you made me laugh jens_prodigy :) Yes, I will definitely bring all my fifty pound folder in the car and if any CBP officers will ask, I will definitely let him see it ;) Thank you for all the information you gave it is really helpful :)

I didn't attack you so there is no need to be arrogant and sarcastic.

All I said was that carrying documents regarding lawful presence in the US is not something to be taken lightly. Especially not in a border state, like Arizona where not just CBP checkpoints are present but there are strict rules and laws regarding immigrants.

I have also travelled in the US before I got my K1 visa and I always made sure that I carry the appropriate documents with myself all times just in case. I'm European and I am from a country that is in the European Union and is part of the Visa Waiver Program, so it was very unlikely for me to be questioned in depth, but still it is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to immigration matters. CBP officers and US law is not something I want to mess with it. Of course (as we both agreed on it) it is solely one's personal choice.

Oh no, I was not being arrogant at all. In fact, I did think you were attacking me, after all you called be irresponsible. On the contrary, I was simply making a joke and then again, after my joke, you attacked again. So, you've now called me three names: irresponsible, arrogant and sarcastic. I've called you nothing, I never even addressed you directly. So who's attacking whom again? :/

I am also from a VWP country so, who knows, maybe I'm more relaxed because of that as well. Either way, the lady already said she's taking all her documents with her so case closed. No reason to discuss it any further.

I was talking about facts and quoted links to prove it. So it not my personal paranoia, it is taking necessary precautions. I did not say that you were careless, I said that not carrying proof of lawful presence as an immigrant is what's careless in my opinion. Then, the last few lines of your reply was a pretty sarcastic joke. It was not my intention to sound like I attacked you and I believe that it was not yours either. So onto the next step.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Ugh...74days and counting. (No RFE)

My noa1 date is March 17th(Received the E-mail notifications on March 20th though). I'm thinking about calling them on monday.

Same situation, Miyon83. 70 days today, no RFE either.

Missed out on 2 jobs so far, been offered another so fingers crossed it updates soon.

Hello there :) Our timeline is quite similar. Based on the email and text notifications I got on March 23rd, they have received my application last March 17. I'm wondering why I haven't heard anything from them yet. :( I want to start working so I can help my husband.

I know how you all feel.....it took 80 days for our EAD and we did not have an RFE either!!! Not sure why some go through quickly and others dont.....think it just depends on who's desk your file lands! I did make a service request on day 75....not sure if it really did anything or not???
