I called today and requested the USCIS look into the EAD since it has been 75 days without approval.....they accepted my request and will contact the office to look into the status and why there is a delay!It is all very frustrating since we have not had a RFE and biometric was 4/1 but hopefully they will find out what the hold up is ASAP!!!!!!!!!

we have similar timeline, despite the facts that I'm adjusting from J-1 visa and we did have an RFE. I'm about to call USCIS tomorrow, so I just wanted to ask did they ask you about RFE or they only needed your case number?

As long as I can see by looking at other people timelines it really varies from case to case. It's been almost a month since they got our response and we still don't have any updates, but some people are getting their interview date within 1-2 weeks after they sent a response, so I guess you never know at this point.

Thanks for the response, how frustrating, I am supposed to be visiting home at the end of July so I really need my AP before then!

Do they formally acknowledge that they've received the RFE response from you? Or have you just heard nothing since it arrived a month ago?

I believe you will still get your AP before that time.

The case status for my I-485 changed to "RFE review" and that's it.

Yes they did ask if we had an RFE which we have NOT so if you call they will ask for dates.....good luck!

Wohooooo!!! My EAD just got approved today!!!!!! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. However, my AP hasn't changed but at this point I don't even care about that. LOL

Congrats. I don't know if you have seen my reply to your previous post but I posted a link about a thread where the OP got that name update thing too and she was approved on the same day as well.

Based on the other thread you made earlier today, your filed for AOS/EAD on March 20th. When was your case accepted? The day your case got accepted (NOA1) is when the 90 day for EAD actually starts, so the day you filed doesn't really tell alot. If you heard from USCIS now, it would be an RFE or an early approval.

California filers...Our Local Office,seemed moving slow..maybe they have lots of work load..My timeline says case may be adjudicated between May 20-25..crossing my fingers...Congrats to all who got their approvals!

hello all

first glad to see that the people are getting their card or the acceptance

but now im confused.

i got the ead card.

now my questions are:

to know about the interview will still take a lot of time (months)?

the fastest path is to have the interview or not?

can i still get a rfe even if they sent me the card?

i will be out of the country for 2 months (end august-end of october) if my interview is schedule can i apply for a reschedule?

anything else i should know about reentering the card besides presenting the card?
