Wow, that's great! I also filed March 18th, just received biometrics appt last week (for April 28th) but that's as far as I've gotten. Status still says "case received." Did you already have your biometrics appt? And how long after that did your status change? Thanks and congrats!

My husband had his biometrics last April 14th and our case changed just today :)

Thank you! Hope your status change soon! :)

Hello...am a non-k1 adjust and I have posted in this forum once in while. Whenever I see someone needs help and could use my input, I will do so. And that is the whole point of VJ. AOS process can be very stressful and helping each other out can be useful. I really do not see a problem in helping someone out.

Like I said to the other poster, us K1 AOSers are VERY aware of the possibility of interview waiver. Since we have already been through a stressful and long K1 visa process, we are well informed. Our cases and timelines are very DIFFERENT from non-K-visa AOS. Non-K-visa adjusters have their own sub forum for a reason. Have a good day.

I hope you have a nice day too. I am sure you have posted in a forum that is not k-1 to help someone out. Posting here does not mean that I feel people here are not well informed. but with that said. I am not here to seek trouble. Good luck everyone.

Huh? No need to be negative.

As a K1 adjuster, there is always a chance for an interview waiver letter. Adjusting from K1 visa is stressful enough, knowing that we have a chance for interview waiver and in that case we won't receive our green card for more than likely a year from filing.

However, in the vast majority of cases "Ready for interview" means that they WILL schedule an interview date.

Highly agree...

My husband had his biometrics last April 14th and our case changed just today :)

Good luck to all of us esp my kababayans..

We almost have the same timeline and we got married the same day! HAHA that's funny :P

AND our case changed today as well. I checked it this morning when i woke up and surprised to see that it is ready for interview :)

I'm not THAT excited since i'm lacking some of the documents needed for the interview such as insurance and mortgage..

My coworker is adjusting from k1 as well and she told me i'll prolly receive my interview letter in 1-2 weeks so i'm very anxious right now.

Good luck to all March filers and hoping for a speedy approval to everybody!

WOW!!! We got married the same day what a coincidence :) Congratulations as well. Same here, I woke up and automatic I checked on the USCIS website then saw the change in status thank goodness..but I was hoping for the work permit though haha I'll jump for joy if that was being produced already hehehe ;)

I also don't have yet the insurance and mortgage documents ..do you think it's a must for the interview? we have joint account and leasing apartment though...

Let's be optimistic and hope for the best. I know how hard it is to wait right and I emphatize with everybody here. It's better to update each other to see we're not just alone on this journey adjusting from K1 to AOS on the month of March. :)

Yeah same here! we're waiting for the EAD so my husband can renew his license already. Anyway, i don"t really know. I just saw other people suggested that when going to the interview. We just have our joint bank acct and that's about it since we live at his cousin's house and rent free.

Let's update each other! :)

So I just checked my status and it says case is ready to be scheduled a interview, does this mean I should expect to have a interview scheduled in the near future or could I still be waiting forever and a day to hear anything?

Most likely you will receive your interview appointment letter in a few weeks or a month or so, but also I have seen a lot of people on this site waiting 3-4 months to receive in interview date after their case status was updated to "ready to be scheduled an interview". Depends on your local office and how backlogged it is, really.

I hope you will hear from them soon! Good luck :)

So my AP was approved today. I thought it would be approved at the same time as the EAD and issued as a combo car. Is that not always the case?

Yay congrats! You will receive the combo card. :) Hopefully more EAD/AP approvals will be coming next week.

Received it today. And it's actually just the AP. Not a combo card. My EAD still says "we received your application on March 02".

I think the reason why this happened is because I decided to file for AP about three weeks ago just in case. And it was approved really fast, not sure why.

Question is if my EAD will be a combo card or just the work permit.

POE: LAX January 29th 2015 on K1 status

2/14/2015 - Married

2/26/2015 - AOS package sent via USPS

2/28/2015 - Package delivered according to USPS website

3/02/2015 - Package was received according to USCIS

3/05/2015 - Received NOA1 over text message and email

3/05/2015 - Checks cashed

3/09/2015 - NOA1 hard copy received in the mail

3/14/2015 - Received biometrics appointment letter for 3/27/2015

3/16/2015 - Biometrics done (successful walk in)

4/06/2015 - received RFE

4/10/2015 - RFE received at USCIS

4/20/2015 - AP approved

5/13/2015 - EAD approved

7/20/2015 - Interview scheduled for Aug 25th

8/25/2015 - Interview approved, card ordered

9/04/2015 - GC in hand

Yeah seems like they processed it separately. I think you will still receive a combo card and not just a piece of paper that says you are authorized to work. But you will see what happens.

I wish you a speedy EAD approval and a smooth AOS journey! :)

We filed for the EAD & AOS on 23rd March 2015, and had our bio-metrics on 22nd April 2015. And, a day later we had a RFE saying out AOS is put on hold, we got the letter yesterday and it says the joint sponsor doesn't have required income. The joint sponsor files 1040 form, and he's self employed he makes well over required. I bet they are looking at adjusted gross income instead of gross which doesn't makes sense because he files 1040 form.

And, do u think that RFE will effect EAD? on the RFE it's just our AOS case number.
