Hello everyone.

I had my biometrics today here in palm beach county, florida. The girl told me that my name in her system is still not updated (not with my married last name) but when we sent all 3 applications i used my married last name along with certified copies of our marriage certificate.

She wants me to send a letter of explanation with supporting documents to USCIS National Benefits Center to inform them that i want my name to be changed.

I am worried that this may cause delay or confusion. I don't know if others have the same experience as mine. :(

I'm sorry .It might cause a delay on your case.. If that's what the lady told you then you should comply.

Call the uscis first tho and report about the Typo error happened on there office cause you sent the documents with your married name so clearly the error was on their side..

And by then ask them what you should do then..

We called USCIS and they said that we just need to wait for 15-30 days for the confirmation that my name has been changed cause she already forwarded our concern.

But i'm thinking of still sending a letter to expedite. I'm just afraid that this might cause confusion to them.

Based on what I've read in the Feb filers thread, it should change to Ready for Interview after another two weeks. However, I don't think I should expect my interview date to be any time before June.

I suppose I might be having a more efficient time of it because my local USCIS office seems to be a pretty quiet place. At least it was the day I went in for my biometrics appointment. I was the only person there, save for the (super nice) employees.

So my AP was approved today. I thought it would be approved at the same time as the EAD and issued as a combo car. Is that not always the case?

Hey everyone, I have a concern. I am trying to pay the USCIS fee but don't have my DOS Case ID number. I contacted USCIS and NVC and they both say contact the embassy I went to. When I contacted the Embassy they are saying that they do not hold those records and told me contact Immigration Services. Now the whole situation started after the interview, when I asked them about my A#, they said I don't get that till I get to the US and I don't have to pay the fee until I adjusted status. The only copy of the DOS # was on the K1 visa package which I handed over when I landed in the US. Speaking to the USCIS rep they said that I should have been given a copy of a summary sheet plus those numbers should have been on my visa but none of that was done. I need some serious help, I don't want that to cause a delay.
