March 2015 AOS Filers

I was out of town all last week where I didn't have access to my mailbox and I purposely didn't check my status. I was hoping to come back to some good news/a big surprise but no such luck. We're 62 days in as of today though so still well within the time period. I gotta say, I'm so much more patient with this process than the K-1 process for two reasons: 1) at least I'm with my love and that makes waiting SO much more bearable and 2) I've accepted the fact that USCIS does things in their own time. We got our K1 approval months and months behind people who filed after us, it took us 9 months just to get approved and another three months for the interview medical and finally my arrival--and all that was without an RFE! So a full year of waiting while I had to sit and watch people get approved in three, four or five months; not to mention those lucky ones who got approved in DAYS! But, as frustrating as it was, it all worked out in the end and worrying or stressing did not push things along one bit! If that process taught me anything it's that patience and optimism works best. So, for those of us still waiting, don't worry, it'll happen. Hang in there!

According to the tracking number uscis gave me I should receive my Ap/ead card today

Yay! My case status for I-485 changed to "ready for interview"

So this means that I will for sure be interviewed and not waived, right?

Also, this in no way gives any clue on how much longer to wait before interview notice, am I right?

Correct my status has said ready for interview since April 23rd and I'm still waiting.apparently it could be months until a interview is scheduled

Although I'm not 100% sure it means we will definitely get a interview and not a waiver

Yeah, that's what I thought.

I am just really really glad it wasn't an interview waiver notice, since they didn't change the status a couple weeks after biometrics, like they do for most people.

Fingers crossed that the waiver notice never comes!

Hi my status changed ready to schedule for interview since April 13..but until now nothing has changed..no updates or approval too for my EAD/AP..Good luck to us.

Congrats. I don't know if you have seen my reply to your previous post but I posted a link about a thread where the OP got that name update thing too and she was approved on the same day as well.

Same. K-1 was a terrible process for us, since our case got mis-routed from CSC to National Records Center, instead of National Visa Center, adding two months onto our timeline. Also, we're in a happy position of not needing the money and I'm happily finding other ways to keep myself busy, no matter how much more content I am as an income earner.

I'm also in the fortunate position of having my green card interview scheduled for June 2, so it should be all wrapped up then anyhow.

I think - stress "think" - it really depends on how busy your local office is. Fortunately, I live in a city with a local office and one that isn't very busy.

I checked my online status this morning and it said that my EAD was mailed to me. NBC is in Lee's Summit, MO and I live in Kansas City, MO so I suppose it will arrive real soon

I'm gonna guess any city in Cali is more of an immigration hotbed than Spokane, WA. Haha.
