Here is a summary of my case:

I filed the I-485, all was going well and my wife and I had an interview scheduled for Nov 14th of 2006. On Nov 13th, my wife was admitted to the hospital where she had to undergo an emergency C section on Nov 15th. Our dauther was born on Nov 15th - healthy and kicking (yipee!).

Per the instructions on the I-485 interview notice, I called the USCIS center and advised them of the situation. I requested that they reschedule the interview due to uncontrollable circumstances. They agreed and said they would send in a request to reschedule.

Jan 13th, I received a letter stating that my case has been dismissed for not showing up!! I went to the USCIS office personally and talked to an agent. They told me to write a letter with all documentation and request another interview. I did that and I still have not received any correspondence from the USCIS!!!!

Can anyone help me out? Id hate to file a request to appeal and pay $385.00 prematurely.
