Does anyone know how long it would normally take from the time NVC dispatches your package to the Montreal Consulate actually receiving ?

And how long before you actually receive the Medicals request from the Montreal consulate?

I am looking for a rough estimate as to the time (days/weeks) from NVC to me receiving the Medicals ?

They say that the Vaccinations (Tetenus Deiptheria-- Td) should be taken within 4 weeks prior to the medicals... I am trying to be pro-active and wondering if I take it now, what would happen if it surpasses the 4 week before I even to for my medicals... Does that screw me up ?? Can I take another shot of the Td??

Any help is greatly appreciated!

NVC sent my application off within a matter of a week or so. You can check my timeline. However, it then took about 3 months to get an interview date with Montreal. You can go ahead and have your medical done now though.. it is good for 6 months, I believe (somebody correct me if I am wrong). As for your vaccinations, talk to your doctor about all of that - it's better (cheaper) to get all of your shots up-to-date BEFORE you go for the official medical. You should have enough time between receiving your interview letter and the actual date to then make appts. with both your family doctor and the 'visa doctor'. This is what I did.

thanks mozplay. But I will need the letter from Montreal (that comes along in Packet 3), when i go for my medicals. The docs cannot do medicals without this letter. So, I will have to wait. Anyways, it great to know that you received your in about a week or so.

NVC sent mine to Montreal yesterday, and I am hoping to hear/receive Packet 3 by end of February from Montreal.

Anyone, else has any insights into this??
