No, not Cairo, it was Cameroon. I would have never thought to have my hubby memorize my social. I find it absurd that they would ask such a question.

I don't know why they would have kept it, I would contact them and request for it back,

You know what, I think it was a trick question and I think he would have been denied if he would have known it.

Will do wonder why the idiots kept it. Thank you doll. (F) (L) (F)

Soloenta... I had not expanded your timeline since your interview and I am sitting here absolutely gobsmacked right now. I had no idea that happened to you. I feel so silly for whining now. Though perhaps we are in the same boat, I don't know, if there is one thing I have learned from this process it is to have absolutely no optimism at all, and never hope even for fairness because it is hopeless.

Oh sweet heart I thought you knew and despair is the same for everyone so don't feel silly my friend your not and you have the right to feel the way you do.

No we are not in the same boat you will get your Visa I can feel it and it would break my heart gain to even think there was one more person being hurt this way. God no you will not suffer what I am, God wont allow it, you will see.

I do agree with you, I have also learned that there is no fairness or justice in this process and it is random depending on who you get. God bless and help us all. You don't need it but my prayers are with you.

I can't sleep anymore but I'm going to try to sleep a little before my parents wake up. By next week you will be home I'm sure. (F) (L) (F)

Got my Cc on March 20. Now waiting for an interview to be scheduled. I pray for all other members here. How are you Soloenta dear? I was away for a while. My husband visited after 18 months. :)

Hi Ritbiv, congratulations my dear sweet friend and so happy your husband could visit you. Don't blame you for not coming here when you can be with your husband. Praying that the rest of your journey is a smooth one and thank you so very much for your prayers. I'm hanging in there, I have my good and bad days, thank you for asking. God willing you will be with your husband soon. Welcome back. (F) (L) (F)

I just want to cry. We have a new scan date of 2/18. Calling later to confirm.

WHAT! How did that happen, why this is just so frustrating how can they do this. I'm so sorry, please ask to speak to a supervisor this is just ridiculous!

God willing it's a mistake and they can fix it right away. (F) (L) (F) Please let us know my angel.

It is certainly disheartening but I knew it was going to happen. I don't know why I let my hopes run free thinking my scan date would stay the same.

We caught ourselves and realized we didn't send my proof of US domicile with the original packages, so we sent that on as soon as we realized, which happened to be a couple weeks after we sent it. I called several different times, spoke to several different reps, and of course they all told me that it wouldn't reset my 60 days, but it would be put with my other documents.

I just got off the phone with NVC and the woman said that she can see both scan dates there, 1/26 and 2/18, that they are sitting there separately, they have not been put together, and I have a 60 day wait from 1/26 as well as 2/18. She said it is up to the person reviewing the documents if they put the two files together or not and at this point they have not. "Call back at the end of the month." Yeah, thanks.

Finally got my CC last night. Still in shock.

I've been keeping my eye on your timeline since we were in the May 2014 I-130 thread together. I'm so pleased for you considering how long it took USCIS to approve your petition. Congratulations.

Hoping for our case complete any day now, but I've given up trying to predict when. Zero rhyme or reason with NVC.

I'm so sorry to read this. They have absolutely no empathy at all in my experience. I'd like to see someone tell them that they couldn't be with their loved one for 60 days based on one small mistake.

It'll all be worth it, in the end. I think after this I'll have developed the patience to deal with anything.

Yippy!!!! On your way!!!!

OMG! I was just reading the interview thread ans someone posted that their husband just had his interview and one of the first questions they asked him was what her social security number is. Seriously? Unbelievable!

Holly Shitaki Mushrooms!! Who would know that????

I have a question for anyone that can answer. I just remembered that my husband told me they kept his passport they never gave it back. I wonder if we should ask for it or not? Odd they wouldn't give it back don't you think?

Odd they didn't give it back. There's hope my friend! :luv:(F)(L)

Oh wow I'm so very sorry, what a stupid system they have and no intention of fixing it in sight. Ok It could be so much worse, please try to stay positive your UK not Egypt so your Visa is just waiting for you guys. Just try (I know, I know) to take a deep breath and relax. Both of you prepare for the interview, you can't prepare enough. Get any more evidence filed in a folder and review it together until you can both do it blind. :D That will keep you busy. Welcome to the thread and you got that right in a nut shell, no rhyme or reason about any of this. Only a fool would make a bet on any of this. Here's hoping and praying you get your CC very soon. (F) (L) (F)

Big time but the good thing is you will get your Visa and this will only be a distant nightmare and God willing soon forgotten. Can't wait for your Case Complete and it will be soon you'll see. Not betting on it I'm not a fool but time wise I think you have another 11 days to wait. I know it's an eternity but think back where you started and where you are now. All will be well God willing. Thank you Austin, this happened Feb 19 Th but I just couldn't make myself update our timeline because in a way it makes it more real.

No, I'm not going to give these SOB's more money to torture us, I will put that money towards visiting my husband.

I just pray my luck changes soon, I can't bare much more of this.

I know your doing great but your always in my thought as all those who I have been through this process with. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. (F) (L) (F)
