We may be completely thrilled for you but this has been your thread and we want to know everything your going through and yes it's very stressful and why not come and rant here! We need to read happy and sad news that's what this thread is for.

Have you thought of getting a box and sending it home via the post office? Might be worth it and a little less stress. :)(L)

Thank you so much for your kindness as usual. :) I did look into the post office option, but the cost to ship a 20kg (44lb) box was like $200 and it involved going to a really far away office and ridiculous customs declaration forms... plus I don't really trust them that much. I also looked into those websites that ship suitcases for less $ but they serve pretty much every country in the world except Argentina. I think it's because of our stupid import/export restrictions.

I did choose a plane ticket that allowed two suitcases for free instead of one, and I figured if nothing else I'll pay the extra weight and/or an extra suitcase (this I don't think because I don't even own three suitcases, haha) at the airport. Less hassle, faster and likely safer. The problem is that I should be packing those suitcases right about now. :o

Yes, this case is currently at the Supreme Court. I posted about this a while back. That is why we now have the signature block that says tell the Supreme Court the Doctrine of Consular Non-reviewability is unconstitutional.

I am glad you found this link. I would like to read over it more. I have also been emailing NPR about our YouTube channel. This is great news. Thanks a lot!!

We really need Dinh to win her case. This would be a win for us.

I am so f-ing sick of being treated by the operators at NVC like I am either a) a complete idiot or b) living in isolation on a mountaintop with no contact with anyone else in this process.

I have seen multiple people today say that they asked and were told that EP applicants were delayed further than regular processing candidates, so when I called and got, as I expected, told that no, I did not yet have case complete and I needed to wait at LEAST 60 days, not exactly 60 days, I decided to ask if the gentleman, and I use this term loosely, had any idea how far delayed EP applicants really were. The conversation went as follows.

Me: Okay, I get that I don't have case complete yet, but I was wondering if you could tell me how much delayed EP applicants are compared to paper applications?
Him: There's no difference. Everyone is delayed. No one is picking on you.
Me: I never said that everyone wasn't delayed. I never said anyone was picking on me. I simply asked if you could estimate how much different the wait times were for electronic versus paper applications. I already know there is a difference, multiple people have called in today and been told that, I was wondering if you could tell me how much of a difference there is?
Him: There's no difference. Everyone is being processed at the same rate.
Me: I know for a fact we are not. I know at least a half dozen, probably more than a dozen, people with scan dates between the tenth and the 23rd who already have their case complete and they are all paper applicants. I have had multiple people who have called in today and been told there is a difference. Can you tell me if I am expecting to wait a week, two weeks, approximately how much more?
Him: No. People are just lying to you. You'll get processed when you get processed and not before.

Seriously, his tone was SO condescending, it was like he was talking to a child. He just kept trying to talk over me when I asked him questions and denied everything other than that there were delays. Even that people with dates after mine MIGHT have case complete already was a lie, according to him.

Can't believe they are allowing this to get worse daily it's what confuses me of what to do with our case, do I cancel the I-130 and start again they say it takes less time and don't actually think it does or just stick it out and avoid all the other road bumps that consume time?

I'm so sorry sweet heart and I'm praying you get your anniversary gift. Happy Anniversary sweet heart, next year you will be in your husbands arms in the USA. God bless you both. (F) (L) (F)

Keep calling even if they drop you this is way to important. :)

Then it will be tomorrow morning :) or evening but tomorrow, maybe even later tonight. :) (F)

I'm so sorry this women had no compassion what so ever, it's just a job for her and wishes we would never call so she can do her nails. But ignore her you call when you want to it's your right. :D

Hahahaa thanks for doing to them what they do to us. Hahahahaa geez, they have no sense of humor.

She's my wife, but yeah. I was hoping. But no, it won't be today. Happy anniversary, just got condescended to epicly. I'm just so tired of their #######. Why are people with the 23rd as a scan date getting case complete when there are still people from the 12th waiting? It's not FAIR.

Yeah, let's hope. For now I'll focus on my cat's vet appointment tomorrow. He's still having ear problems, though at least they agreed he was healthy enough to vaccinate last time so I don't have to worry about his shots being out of date delaying the move, now.

Sorry about the ear troubles but that's great he can get vaccinated! 1 positive, at least. Happy anniversary, also! It's got to be absolutely awful being away from your wife on this special day, but it's still a special day no less! A year of marriage, in difficult circumstances with being in the immigration hellhole to boot, is something to be proud of I think.

Thank you so much for your kindness as usual. I did look into the post office option, but the cost to ship a 20kg (44lb) box was like $200 and it involved going to a really far away office and ridiculous customs declaration forms... plus I don't really trust them that much.

Ummm well first get you but-t out of the suite case you will be able to fit more inside it and I don't blame you for not trusting them, don't trust anyone's post office or Airline.

 Madre santisima esta muchacha! (F)(L)(F)

For the people trying to get attention to their cases: this website is doing a series on cases like yours. Check out the article, and it includes a link on how to submit your story (I think they want you to call).

http://www.pri.org/stories/2015-03-12/why-one-womans-fight-be-her-husband-wound-supreme-court

God bless you am running there in a few. :D (F)(L)Thank you so much I'll see if I can add it to my signature. :D

Makes me cry I don't want to get my hopes up but at the same time I'm just so desperate and what is NPR, North Puerto Rico? Hahaha no really does that stand for? Hugs (L)

Okay Dwheels here I must Rant a bit.

For the love of all that is Holy people stop changing your VJ name. These spreadsheets and data we keep really helps people and you changing your name every other week no one can find your butt. And oin that note :time:

These timelines for for everyone's benefit so we can get the information data stats and numbers you so much ask for and need. Me trying to keep the Interview thread up to date has become a heck of a chore now folk saying they have case complete and never bothering to come back with Interview date and all that fun.

Help me Help. First

1. Your VJ member name is that not the XXXXXX number or your mommie's nickname for you or your passport ID#. It's that name up in the corner that's you. Where some of you get these random names Lord have mercy help me father.

2. If you change you VJ name be mindful where you entered data and go correct. There are some folk with Lord knows how many ID's out there STOP IT!.

3. Update your timeline. Please I beg you. I love it when I can't find you for updates but your timeline is up to date. Dwheels is a happy lady.

:rofl:Hahahahaa OMG I'm so honored you came to our thread thank you so much and I can only imagine how you feel. It's been difficult for me to put denied on our timeline and will do it soon, it's still so very painful but I did put it on our signature.

Ok ladies and gentlemen what is up with the name changes and bow to the Queen cause when she isn't happy no one is happy!! :ranting:

She's my wife, but yeah. I was hoping. But no, it won't be today. Happy anniversary, just got condescended to epicly. I'm just so tired of their #######. Why are people with the 23rd as a scan date getting case complete when there are still people from the 12th waiting? It's not FAIR.

Because someone just grabs a box of files and takes it to a reviewer what ever their called with no regard to dates. They are so inefficient and I think they do it on purpose. If they were a business they would have gone bankrupt by now.

Every step of this process is agony. Sorry I messed up I sometimes forget the gender. :D (L)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (F)(L)(F)

I never hear it, I'm always too nervous, so I understand. I'm sorry, I know it really sucks. I'm hoping next week will be good to you. (L)

omg doesn't it happen to you guys that the automatic THANK YOU FOR HOLDING, ASSISTANCE IS JUST A MOMENT AWAY tricks you into thinking someone picked up the phone? I don't know, it's the abrupt way it starts or something. Used to fool me all the time and then when someone ACTUALLY picked up I was like 'uh, eh, oh, omg, it's real this time, what do' and always missed their name and whatever they say in the beginning. <_<

I'm amazingly bad at names, so no. I always try.

Happy anniversary! We missed ours as well, but we'll make sure to make up for it next year. :) We got married Feb 28 and next year is a leap year... I keep telling my wife that technically, since we got married the day before March 1, Feb 29 should totally be an extra day of celebration. ;)

Ummm well first get you but-t out of the suite case you will be able to fit more inside it and I don't blame you for not trusting them, don't trust anyone's post office or Airline.

hello again, all :) Happy Friday the 13th

Quick question pertaining to IV fee invoicing. I called the NVC Wednesday 3/11 and was told the DS261 had been processed that day and to wait 1-2 weeks for the IV fee to be invoiced. However, I just now checked the CEAC page, and under IV Processing Application Fees, it does not say "not invoiced" anymore nor is there the option to select the fee anymore.

IV Application Processing Fees
Applicant Name
Birth Year
Relation
Fee Amount
Payment Status
Select

Is this a sign that the IV fee is being invoiced??:blink: Someone please say yes :)
