Okay guys, I had a little bit of a meltdown this morning and went off on my case worker from the senators office who has been handling all this BS with my expedite request. Even with my case having been completed, the fact that my grandfather had the stroke, has an autoimmune disorder, is on immunosuppressants used for organ transplant, and that I have to brig him to weekly doctor appointments and am having extreme difficulties lifting him in and out of the car, chairs, bed, etc, it all means nothing to the Cairo embassy, as they denied our request yet again. Really, they couldn't schedule us an earlier interview? Because that is going to cause them a great deal of additional work? Seriously?! #######?!?!?! A**holes!

Anyway, this is what I said to him:

"Thank you for relaying the information. I have to be honest, I am experiencing quite an array of emotions at the moment. Disappointment, frustration, anger...

The U.S. Immigration system is broken and unjust. I am a hard working, law abiding, tax paying citizen, as are thousands of other Americans going through this process, yet we are treated as though we are degenerates, all because we chose to marry people from another country. Then there are those who have entered and made lives for themselves in this country illegally, who are receiving better treatment than us, the upstanding citizens, who are doing everything to bring our loved ones here legally. When everyone speaks of immigration reform, no one ever thinks of or speaks of this aspect. This needs to change, and it needs to change starting now! I would like to address this matter with Senator Klobuchar directly. How can I go about scheduling a meeting with her to discuss this matter? Please, can you assist me with this?

Thank you for all of your assistance over the last several months. I look forward to your continued assistance regarding this matter."

I can't sit by and keep my mouth shut any longer. If my case worker and Senator Klobuchar don't want to help reform this process, I will reach out to every constituent until I find someone willing to help me. Wallahi! If I didn't have to care for my grandfather or own a house here and have a million student loans to pay back I would leave this country and not look back!

Okay, done ranting... Sorry...

I don't think you went off. You were still very professional, controlled, and you stated your point and where you are standing at this moment. The Cairo Embassy gives a lot of people hard times to my understanding. I cannot believe with what you are going through they would not give you an earlier appointment. Just sick and sad.

Don't worry, we need to keep on fighting. I'm sorry.

Ok I'll see where I can go and spread the word see how many more people we can get to join this thread would be great to get enough for News Papers, Tv to notice. Ummm I have an idea, we need to get as many people as possible to e-mail Oprah don't know if this one still works but Oprah@oprah.com not sure this e-mail works and this site is great can send to her Agent but it says here the letter should be good to make this person pass it on to her we all need to contact these people because Oprah is friends with Obama http://www.ehow.com/how_5094308_email-oprah-winfrey-noticed.html

Do you have a template for what you think we should email to Oprah?

I don't think you went off on them. It was all very professional and well written. So I think you did a great job. I am guessing they have not said anything back to you yet?

I think with everything you mention dealing with in this post, you did a lot better then a lot of other people would have done in that email. So go on you!

I hope they are able to meet with you.

But to be honest, it just goes to show more, how the system is so messed up. A senator can ask for an expedite and they still say no...I mean...who would they say yes to?

Simple work around for advertising the videos:when you are featured in a video, put it in your signature. "featured in America, where is my spouse! *insert link to your episode here *"

Excellent thank you so much didn't think about that and I was just trying to get the word out in mass. But our dear Dewheels as usual said I can do what ever I want on her thread. It's why I love her so much she is so fair and best of all understanding. :)

Good Morning All

That's a great idea!

Good morning!

A few suggestions to get the word out.

The site Upworthy. They get thing seen by thousands of people quickly.

https://www.upworthy.com/submit

Also, if someone is a part of any of the Facebook groups, they could share the information there.

As I said you are brilliant oh heck all you guys are, thank you my sweet Maharose. :)

You weren't doing anything wrong! It's made by VJers for the purpose of helping VJers. Sometimes the people here make me so mad <_<

Same here sweet heart, might be they are scared deep down inside and by seeing my post there biggest fear made them think of the possibilities of their fate. One would think that they would hope things will change just in case they find themselves in the same position. God only knows what's in their minds. I thought the same since it was a member it was ok and we are here to help each other.

I was actually lucky to get a GREAT Mod who is kind and just to let me know my mistake or I would have had no idea and would have been banned for a few days. So all is well. :)

Oaky, I put the music back and I put the information about who made the song at the bottom and did the youtube copyright acknowledgment thingy. This fixed the problem. You may now view it. yippy!

The only problem I have with signing for a better timeline for USCIS is it messes everyone up when you get to NVC they should both be on this petition or it wont work. In the long run with backlogging NVC nothing has been gained for the effort. :(

Okay guys, I had a little bit of a meltdown this morning and went off on my case worker from the senators office who has been handling all this BS with my expedite request. Okay, done ranting... Sorry...

Well, God bless you if that is a melt down, I told my case worker off she did NOTHING for over three months so I call and the idiot said oh haven't sent anything yet. I'm sorry but let her have it big time. That was Congresswoman Napolitano who does NOTHING to help any of us. Barbara Boxer the same I really don't know who to turn to now. No one seems to care and want to help. I'm beyond frustrated I don't know where to turn for help in this nightmare that never ends. :(

Whom ever is in charge of the Embassies needs to fire all employees like the ones at the Cairo Embassy and part of the problem now with interview dates is they have sent all the Yemen applicants to Cairo since they closed the Embassy there. I'm guessing they get to butt in front of us, when will this ever end!

Do you have a template for what you think we should email to Oprah?

No I don't, just thought of the subject line being something dramatic like "I'm Dying please help me" hahahaa we need something to catch the Agents attention or " I'm going to kill myself if.............. " any suggestions anyone?

We should Skype and I will just wanted to finish here before I watch just thinking about it I start to cry. God when will life be normal again! :(

Hi Soloenta,

I have google hangout and viber, no skype. I need to buy a camera for my pc and haven't done it yet.

Will life ever be normal? I have no idea. When I keep looking back at the life we used to have it just makes me cry. I wish we could have here what we had abroad. I am beginning to think it will never be. I am sooo tired and lately I have been super depressed. I used to talk to my mom about all of my problems and just about anything and I can't do that anymore. I lost my mother, best friend and psychologist. lol

I just don't know what to do. I really am ready to lie down and just die.

Maybe that should be our title. I am ready to lie down and die if ..............
