Hey Guys,

My Pd is on 28 March 2014 and I got welcoming letter from NVC yesterday. Although, since I am going to do adjustment of status I think I should call NVC and let them know and I will process my case through USCIS. any idea?

No need to pay an immigration lawyer. It's waste of money. If you've passed the USCIS stage then you've passed the stage you're likely to make mistakes.

Believe me... The good folks here in visa journey know better than those immigration lawyers.

Just ask questions whenever you feel confused and the guys here will happily put you through

Thank you franklinadamau but sometimes they do not know all the details and I cannot ask them what is not their job.

For instance, one week ago I tried to see if someone here knew about the part - in the Affidavit of Support - where they ask for the three most recent tax years.

I moved to the US one year ago and started working in october '04 (with the consequence I filed the tax return only once); therefore I am not sure how to deal with that and..the above is only the first thing I noticed :)

It is clear what I mean. Adjustment of status is for someone who already lives inside the US. I have been living in the US for almost three years.

I understand you. I think your question has been asked by other people and has been accurately answered a couple of times.

What you actually need to do is to look for a thread with people that recently paid their AOS and ask them.

September to December 2012 and some January 2014 recently paid their AOS and I saw a question very similar to yours answered from time to time.

Just ask them in those thread and you're guaranteed to be responded to.
