Do you think its better at the interview to give the officer my wedding photos directly with papers they asked or dont show them unless they ask for evidence of relationship?

another question if I gave them photos I could get back after the interview right?

Finally I received P4 email. My interview is scheduled on May/6th. in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Thank you guys for all the help and advice I received from each of you. This is the best forum I have ever used and learned from.

Hi,

I just want to get some ideas and advice on the following.

I am the beneficiary live with my petitioner in UAE. I am from Jordan.

1) Do I have to bring the petitioner with me to the interview? I was surprised in the letter it says not required. What I thought was, it is required as both of us will be interviewed and asked about our relationship as in the sample interview questions thread posted in the first page of this thread.

If not required is it better that the petitioner accompany me at the interview or not?

2) ABD embassy mentions the photo size as 5cm X 5cm size but in the travel.state.gov site when I select ABD embassy the pdf file attached says 3.5cm X 4cm: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Supplemental/ABD%20-%20Abu%20Dhabi.pdf

So which photo size instructions shall I follow?

3) In the embassy website they also mention (The required, fully completed I-130 and DS-230 parts I and II forms) Do I have to bring the I-130? Shall my petitioner fill a new one and submit it? We already submitted one to the USCIS at initial stage.

4) They also mentioned a no conviction letter from Jordan with letter (F) next to it. means it was not requested by the NVC. I don't have this letter I already submitted a police certificate of good conduct. And I have tha original for that. I have not lived in Jordan after the age of 16 for longer than 6 months why do they need this certificate!! I have contacted Jordanian embassy in UAE and asked them if I can apply for this certificate but they told me it is not possible to get it from the embassy I have to go to Jordan to get it.

What shall I do in this case!?

5) In UAE where I reside, the police certificate is valid for 3 months and the one I sent to NVC is now expired. But they mentioned if one year has passed on the current police certificate get a new one. Shall I get a new one?

Omg! Their instructions said for us to bring the paper and they didn't even take it. Like this process hasn't been stressful enough! When I emailed the embassy the other day, they answered me within the hour. Maybe u can send an email 2 see what u need 2 do. Sorry u have 2 go thru this!

I sent a email and still waiting for the response.

NVC baffles me, after cc on March 18th, confirmation letter of March 25th, I decide to call this morning wishfully, to see if an interview has been scheduled...the rep is going to tell me that the dob I quoted is wrong and because of security reasons she cant give out any information....like seriously? Im fed up with their inefficiency :ranting::protest:

Help please. The $165 immigrant visa fee:

Can it be paid by a Philippine credit card?

Can we pay when I arrive in the US?

Thanks all in advance.

The funds have to be drawn from a US bank. So no. Yes you can pay in US you have until the green card stamp expires from your POE. So usually 1 year from POE to pay. They just recommend paying before you leave but its not required.

If they don't ask for them why offer they will just refuse. Just hold on to them. Yes they will hand you back your pictures they don't keep and you should be getting originals back also at interview.

1. The only embassy I know where petitioner is require (or strongly suggested ) is DR. The interview is about the Beneficiary and immigration.

2. Passport size pics just like you submitted to NVC and brought to your medical.

3. None if that is required there is no DS-230. You have to remember that many of these embassies do forms at embassy much of what they speak to are people dealing directly with embassy. No your I-130 is not needed or required. You should have confirmation page of the DS-260.

4. Check your countries forum. If NVC didn't ask for it the embassy doesn't need it. You submitted all you need to.

5. What you submitted to NVC is sent to embassy. Most police reports are good for 1 year. I know Nigerians say 3 months but they are good for a year. Why not check your countries interview reviews and see what others have done. Those reviews many times have good information in them.

I paid with an Argentine credit card and had zero issues. You can pay with any valid credit/debit card, it only has to be a US bank if you choose to have the money taken from a checking account.
