Hi everyone. I need a little quick confirmation if you can, especially those from Mexico, however ANY input is appreciated. My husband's interview is April 13. We booked him a flight on April 8 from Kansas City to El Paso, where he will get a cab to Juarez. The flight has a layover/change of planes in Dallas. My husband is panicking because he is afraid security will give him problems for no papers. He has his Mexican passport, plus he will be carrying all of his paperwork, (I.E. 601 A Approval, Consulate Appointment Letter, Etc). I explained that he would be fine, but he is worried that since the layover in Dallas is only 45 minutes and he has never flown or been in an airport that if they stop him he will not make plane in time. Has anyone without "papers" flown within the US? Any problems doing so?

My husband is without papers and has flown more than once to another city within the United States for immigration court proceedings. It has never been an issue. In fact the first time, he didn't have a passport or driver's license but he was able to prove who he was with other documentation and TSA worked with him to get him out. In that case it was particularly obvious he was without papers and there was no issue. I figure that in the airport they care mostly about money - if you are buying a ticket they want to get you to buy more tickets in the future not try to determine if you are legal or not. :)

Nope. NVC scheduled it after i had scheduled my own dor an earlier date. I had to cancel the appointment i had scheduled because i was scolded for doing it my self. The rep said it could have cause serious conflicts/delays if i would have not waited for NVC's instructions. But im good now nd im happy this is almost over.

Thank you for being the tester for us. See I am so confused about their website saying you can scheduled. On another thread about DR scheduling I was jumped on and told I don;t know what I am talking about (They were an expedite and they scheduled there's which I had said they can do....I am so sure).

Well happy you got you date. Wooo whoo.

Don't worry...they won't ask for papers when you are leaving the US...only when returning to the US
