The morning after I emailed the consolute here about the late visa issuance, I woke up to the CEAC website stating the visa was under AP. I also got an email back from the consulate that morning, so fast this time! It said the visa was currently being processed and will be sent to the courier in the afternoon after being issued. I checked a half hour later and it was issued! The courier was at my door the next morning with my wife's passport and package in hand. Well done AIT!

It took a total of seven business days from interview to package delivery, so for those who are booking plane tickets before their interviews be very careful as I was told the whole porcess would take three business days. It was definitely frustrating waiting those extra days but we are so relieved now that we have everything.

Good luck to everyone!

Thank you, that is very kind. I hope yours is in your hands soon too.

Sharks, I am barracking (isn't that what Aussies say? I know the American "rooting" has another connotation!!!) for you.

I am going to guess that your case has been approved and is "Ready" for them to actually print the visa foil that goes into your passport. I am also guessing that when that foil has been printed and has been applied in your passport and is ready to ship, it will say "Issued".

Looks like progress!!!!

Soon!!!!

No they will not interview you here. It's her interview. They would ask her questions about you your name where you live usual basic not grilling the child. I had 3 different friends just had children interviewed age from 8 to 17. All were asked do they know who the petitioner is where t they are going.

And yes you should have good evidence f the father daughter relationship also. But you are the step parent many step parents have never meet their step kids in this immigration process.,

Thank you for your insight! I had heard that I really needed to go from some people so I was getting very nervous. But I wont worry so much about it - just prepare what we can!
