I'm back home guys I just left the embassy. It's all a daze right now. I was only asked two questions. How I met my husband and what he does. She then gave me the pamphlet about domestic violence and said u can leave. She didn't say I was approved or anything. However they did keep my passport.

I'll give you a full in depth details as I'm still in shock.

Congratulations???

Just heard from hubby! Pending his medical they said he is approved!! His medical is delayed because we were expedited and they had 2 squeeze him in. He said she asked how & when we met, what kind of work I do, has he ever been 2 the states & why does he feel that we deserved to be expedited. He said she was very nice. They kept his passport & said he will get it back with the visa! Thank you everyone for all of ur support!!!

Congrats! Excited for you. My hubby had us medical today. His interview scheduled for april 7. Please keep us posted on how long it takes them to issue the visa.

Wife and I just got interview letter for consulate in Mexico.

May 11. Case complete March 10. It's a great feeling to finally

be done with this whole process

Dear VJ Friends

My case is still on Ready status, i sent an email to embassy after sending the email they have touched my case on 23rd march & 24th March but nothing change.

I am worried.

Why? It's only the 24th now, I don't think you need to worry yet. They'll be organising your packet to send out. THey can't change it til it's sent.

I still haven't heard anything but I think my posts are kinda invisible in this thread. No one wants to hear when things go wrong I guess.

I am the beneficiary. My husband is the petitioning USC.

Relationship:

Met in Washington DC - 13 February 2013

6 visits (Guam and Australia) in 2013

Engaged on Guam - 31 December 2013

Start living together in Australia - 3 March 2014

<3 Married in Queensland <3 - 28 June 2014

Visa in hand 31 March 2015 - mere hours before I leave for Brisbane to fly to LA.

My interview was on 10 March 2015 and they update my case on 18 March from AP to ready and still it shows ready.

Normally sri lankan embassy they issue visa after two days.

One of my friend attend to CR1 visa on Tuesday and she got a her visa after days.

Normally sri lankan embassy they issue visa after two days.

One of my friend attend to CR1 visa on Tuesday and she got a her visa after days.

Oh I see - yes that is a bit strange isn't it! I hope they respond to your email soon. I'm sure it's just a strange glitch in the system.

Hubby just got done with interview. Visa APPROVED !!! OMG, i'm in shock right now. litterally crying and laughing at the same time... can't believe it.

He said CO was really hard on him asking tons of questions.

First question was one i swore would never come up. He was asked what my SSN is. Is this a weird question or is it just me taking things lightly as i always do?

Anyways, he's back at the embassy with few docs they needed from him to process/print out his visa. Will give me the whole rundown when he's done.

Goodness! I would have had to dig out my husband's paperwork for that one.

Fantastic news :)

I said to hubby it would be a miracle if they asked for my SSN, quickly dismissing his interest in memorizing those 9 digits. Thank God he didn't listen to me, went ahead and memorized them anyways. So thankful for a stubborn husband lol.
