My husband was approved today at the consulate in Sydney he was in there over 2 hours, but most of it was waiting. Actual interview only took about 5 min he said, and a lot of that was him reading a pamphlet on domestic abuse that they gave him.

They asked four questions (at least that's how many he told me haha) I can't remember for sure right now (and his phone is dead) but I think they were

How did you meet?

How long were you in Thailand? (We met there volunteering)

What's her relationship to the joint sponsor?

When did you get married?

Awesome! Congrats. My interview is at Sydney in three weeks. I'm flying from Perth. Can you ask your husband if he saw anyone take a regular size hang bag in with them. I'm wondering if it's allowed.

They need my father in law's W2 but he is self employed what the hell !!!

what?! I thought NVC pretty much ensures that whatever is needed is provided at NVC stage and interview is simply a formality. I didnt know they check and ask for financial documents proof at the embassy as well.

I'm so happy for you guys, he is a lovely bloke! I was really grateful for his company afterwards once I calmed down enough to be around people and stopped bawling my eyes out. Lol!

God I hope this is an easy fix. We have emailed the email they gave us to send the "w2" to, explaining that he doesn't get one, crossing my fingers that they will say "Yep that's correct" and send me my visa. He also wrote "2014 w2" which can't be right.

That's what we thought too. The nvc said all our stuff was fine. Nvc literally told us that everything was perfect with the joint sponsor documents. This guy is just wrong, right?

I really hope so! Plus 2014 taxes aren't required to be filed till April 15th. And like others have mentioned, self employed don't get W2

How long takes to Dominican Republic embassy to schedule a interview?? or When they star scheduling??

NorMally won't be more than a week I guess and as long there is slot they will only slot you in perhaps !! From the date of case completed ! Good luck!!

Sorry, I don't know what you mean. We already have a joint sponsor, and he has his own accountant.

Omg that is a long day! My hubby goes Wednesday at 8:00 am. I will tell him 2 get there earlier. How much did u end up having to spend? I'm sending him with $4000.

I paid 15,250 for the actual exam and they said that I needed two vaccines which cost 9,050 so in all I paid 24,300

Question, guys: In my P4 letter's document list, I got "FINANCIAL EVIDENCE - I" which is "This form is incomplete. You must present a completed form at your interview.",

Now, I'm baffled here. First of all, they didn't explain this any further. Which one of the 3 i-864 forms that we sent is incomplete? And which part of it? Or are they talking about tax returns/payslips?

Secondly, without knowing which part is incomplete, I can't really present them a "completed" form.

Thirdly, they already checklisted us for an incomplete i-864 once. So I'd think that would already fix the issues that they pointed out before.

Should I call NVC and ask them to elaborate on it? Or should I write the embassy instead? (the case is at the embassy right now). What do you guys think?

My husbands interview is in Sydney Australia in a month and I am so nervous! I'm sure we will be fine as been together 9+ years and married over 3, and hubby has been to usa 3 times with me.

I moved back to usa earlier than him as we are expecting a baby and want to get set up.all we have left before he comes over is this interview and to sale our house. Fingers crossed!!

QUESTION: the lady from NVC said I filled out my tax return income on my I-864 wrong but we still got a case complete (I originally had a checklist, resent it all in two months later and we got a cc). She said the new form was wrong too, yet there's no written confirmation of that? Do I need to fill out a third form and send it?

Since our interview is on april 21 do I need to send copies of my 2014 tax return and our joint sponsors tax return for 2014 with my husband to the interview?

What does your checklist say you got in your P4 letter about your I-864. If you got check-listed for that you need to fix it for the interview so you don;t get put in AP.

As stated before 2014 taxes are due April 15th. It's best to have them done they may or may not ask. I don;t know. If you are close to the poverty guidelines its shaky I don;t know. I sure would have it done just in case though.
