He's right: a W2 is a tax form given by an employer to an employee. Self-employed people don't get them.

There are other ways to prove self-employment income, the best example being all the special tax forms that self-employed people are required to fill out in great detail.

We gave them all that I even said that to the guy and he said they still give themselves w2s but I don't think that's right. I emailed them saying so. We gave them his tax return plus all schedules.

Just wanted to give a bit of update, so I completed my medical today everything went well apart from the extremely long wait. I am suppose to pick it up on Friday in time for my interview on Monday.

Side note/ Observation for all my Jamaican counterparts who will be doing there medical at the Andrew's Memorial hospital, I would suggest that on the day of the medical u try to get there as early as possible. My medical was schedule for 12:30 and I thought I would go a bit early so I got there 10:00 and to my surprise there were a lot of people there I didn't leave there until minutes to 4:00. So if u don't like to wait I would suggest going early.

Just out of curiosity, if the interview date is schedule by the NVC, why does it take someone 2/3 days and someone up to a month? I do understand that the actual interview date may very due to availability of the embassy where they will have the interview but why the discrepancy on scheduling it? Does the embassy schedule the interview date and time or NVC?

Okay this is how scheduling goes. Every embassy in the world each month sends in their available slots to fill for CR1/IR1 interviews. As you notice everyone doesn;t start on same day because every embassy doesn;t snd in their information on same day. I know India is one of the last to schedule Whether its they are late sending in or it takes NVC that long to pug in folk I have no idea.

Some embassies that hardly have anyone (Iceland) their schedule is always open so you get CC you get interview scheduled same day.

They keep filling the slots until they either run out of petitions or they run out of slots.

its been 6 days of my case complete (confirmed by phone ,also 3N/A )

why no CC email yet? any idea guys ?

Because CC emails come 7 days later not 6 days later.

Omg that is a long day! My hubby goes Wednesday at 8:00 am. I will tell him 2 get there earlier. How much did u end up having to spend? I'm sending him with $4000.

How long takes to Dominican Republic embassy to schedule a interview?? or When they star scheduling??

My husbands interview is in Sydney Australia in a month and I am so nervous! I'm sure we will be fine as been together 9+ years and married over 3, and hubby has been to usa 3 times with me.

I moved back to usa earlier than him as we are expecting a baby and want to get set up.all we have left before he comes over is this interview and to sale our house. Fingers crossed!!

QUESTION: the lady from NVC said I filled out my tax return income on my I-864 wrong but we still got a case complete (I originally had a checklist, resent it all in two months later and we got a cc). She said the new form was wrong too, yet there's no written confirmation of that? Do I need to fill out a third form and send it?

Since our interview is on april 21 do I need to send copies of my 2014 tax return and our joint sponsors tax return for 2014 with my husband to the interview?

My husband was approved today at the consulate in Sydney he was in there over 2 hours, but most of it was waiting. Actual interview only took about 5 min he said, and a lot of that was him reading a pamphlet on domestic abuse that they gave him.

They asked four questions (at least that's how many he told me haha) I can't remember for sure right now (and his phone is dead) but I think they were

How did you meet?

How long were you in Thailand? (We met there volunteering)

What's her relationship to the joint sponsor?

When did you get married?
